The hotel has lost it splendour. The previous times I have visited the hotel it was okay. There were cockroaches in the room. The room was not cleaned properly until I have complained. We paid for dinner and the lamb curry was finished at eight. When confronted Martin he explained that they had a big crowd
And further more the desert was finished at 8pm at night. I was shocked we do not eat beef or pork. I was shocked at this service.

A short walk to the prestige, not so crowded beaches. Good is great. Comfortable beds. Parking is a problem, very limited secure parking.

Fabulous service and location. Rooms clean. Small touches ensure value for money. Staff are all extremely friendly. Loved the evening turn down service with complimentary chocolates. Wifi good, very good breakfast.

Over 35 year ago my parents booked into this exact hotel to celebrate their honeymoon. Funny my mom was showed to the room but mu dad was turned away to due to the apartheid regime.

Today, we have the freedom to stay at any hotel we wish. We are equal and there is no discrimination. I stayed at the hotel for my parents - enjoying what they could not.

The hotel is nice, good location with ocean views and the rooms are quite big. The breakfast is also good.

Improvements: Customer service needs to improve as our parking bay was issued to someone else and check-in was also delayed.

    Pic: View from the room

Our experience has been quite an awful one. My wife and i have stayed at Blue Waters Hotel before and had an amazing experience butvthis time around it feels like we were checked into sub standard standard rooms. The beds are stiff, the curtains let light in. Generally i see no value for my money and will never refer anyone to Blue Waters Hotel.

I absolutely love this Hotel! From the moment I checked in I was assisted by a team of very professional staff. My room is comfortably furnished and I have a stunning view of the sea and beach. I have a large group of delegates attending a Symposium at this Hotel and are using their conferencing facilities. Every wish are catered for. The conferencing facilities are well equipped and staff are always on hand to assist. Sadly my stay will be over shortly but I will be back.

Written by day conference delegate. Comfortable conference room with working facilities. Clean and updated bathrooms. Friendly & helpful staff. Variety at buffet lunch. Plenty outside parking available. Away from the hectic bustle of the hotels further south of the golden mile. Take a break, walking on the promenade and refresh with the pounding surf and sea-breeze.

Staff at this hotel are fabulous, the kind that can be expected at a 5 star establishment. The breakfast and supper buffets had a lovely array of dishes. My room was lovely and neat with a breathtaking view of the ocean. I suffer from insomnia and "new bed syndrome" but at this place I slept like a baby from the very first night, getting up in the morning was a struggle. The only down part with my stay was the warm showers and the very small bottle of drinking water made available. Overall it was a wonderful experience and shall return.

Great atmosphere. The outdoors area is relaxing and they have a kiddies area as well. Have live music from time to time. Pizzas are always great with a wide variety to choose from.

This historic hotel offers a different experience to traditional hotels. Large rooms with excellent views. Close proximity to suncoast and the beach make this a good choice for tourists and holiday makers.

Great views. Great location. Friendly staff who really want to help. The rooms are a bit dated but clean, comfortable with all the amenities you'd expect. Housekeeping was great, food was fine (waffles and a soft serve ice cream machine for breakfast made my day). Didn't feel like a soulless chain hotel, which was refreshing. Would definitely stay again.

I paid for my extended stay but when the cleaners came to my room they thought I am checking out . When I went to reception and told them I have paid already the receptionist checked but it was not showing on their system. So she said she is not sure about that. After I showed her the message from my bank, she started blaming her colleague who handled it. The same receptionist I heard her the following day blaming her colleague again to another customer. So I guess they don't have good communication . If one makes a mistake they blame it on eachother. It does not help blaming others, it is still Blue Waters. So if anyone is willing to stay there make sure you have *proof of payment* or else you might pay twice I Love the location of the Hotel. I will try it again and see if the staff are better.
Managers are excellent! My room was changed, I did not like it. But how can there be a room like this in Blue Waters Hotel. If the cancellation was for free I would have cancelled, for them to think that I deserve a room like this made me furious (stapled curtains with rust and a bed with an old vomit stain) please check the rooms before taking customers in.

I had a good stay at this hotel and they were gracious enough to give us a late check-out. The breakfast was okay, it can be improved. Fantastic views both from the dining area and the room

An average Hotel that can be great. The place has lovely, clean bedrooms with fridge and tea facilities. The stuff is helpful and friendly. Maybe my average rating comes in a wrong timing. There were renovations, but still i think the reception is in chaos. Having to check in and there's plenty people from the beach is not cool.

Really nice room and great location. Food is nice and simple. Really close to a great beach as well the waterpark. Having a on site pool also made it even better. Staff could be slightly unhelpful and rigid and didn't seem very interested in helping you with any issues you might have but in general they were all very nice

Blue Waters is a good hotel to stay at for the weekend; more than that would be a bit inconvenient.

The rooms on the bottom floors are crumby and small, but the ones on the upper floors are more spacious and have better views. Also, the bottom floors tend to have more people loitering in the staircase area, making noise at night (especially during summer and winter vacations). These tend to be drunkards and require security intervention.

Additionally, you need to be wary of the housekeeping staff as there have been various cases of stolen personal belongings from the rooms. Furthermore, the rooms aren't quite clean so they require attention.

There is no self-catering, so you need to eat out most of the time. The hotel has a bar and restaurant downstairs and there are plenty of others around. Plus the breakfast buffet offered in the morning is quite well done.

While there isn't much to do at the hotel, there is a rather secure beach promenade out front to go walking, cycling, jogging, and the like.
