Excellent location on the rocks at the old harbour, an unique and must visit experience. Friendly, prompt service. Good food. Not to be missed.

Stunning views and lovely food. The staff is also very kind and helpful. I was freezing cold on a sunny and bright day, the waiter saw me and brought me a blanket, very sweet!

Very good food.. but be sure to ask for the prices on their recommendations to avoid paying R200 for a pice of fish.
Very nice to sit on the rocks and have lunch.

What an awesome experience to sit on the rocks with the ocean waves lapping around u. Food is great service is good. And oh wow the desserts are yummy. Especially the Cherisio basket with ice cream. Loved sitting out on the rocks enjoying the sea breeze and great food.

Need to book in advance, but staff were able to accommodate walk-ins where possible. Was seated right on the rocks. View is spectacular. Lots of stairs but worth it.
Cocktails & food arrived very quickly. Waiters kept checking in on us even when busy. Enjoyed a platter for 1 and grilled fish. Food was worth the price. Dog & kid friendly.

Amazing grotto discretely located on the water's edge. If it had not been for a selfie moment on the cliff we would not have found it.
Relaxing, welcoming, casual yet upmarket modern style and vibe.
Great fresh food, meat and fish. First salad I really liked in Africa.
Great service, extensive wine list.
Overall great experience for two lads from a surfing village near Sydney

The food wasn't very good. But OK. I had the Peri Peri Chicken and the butternut soup. Both weren't very hot but didn't taste bad. French fries were almost cold an not crunchy. Although we reserved a table, we had to sit next to the open door, which was very windy and cold. But blanckets were preserved.
But the view was amazing because you sit right at the ocean in a nice atmosphere of a cave. Music was much too loud.

Had a group dinner here. Food was quite nice but was disappointed with dessert. Great view for whale watching. We managed to get a glimpse of the whales that evening. The stairs are quite hectic to walk up and down. Only heard afterwards that there's a lift apparently. Good service.

Absolutely breathtaking. On the rocks by the ocean. Take a hat and sun screen. Wear comfortable shoes. You need to walk down a lot of steps to get to the restaurant. At the bottom of a cliff. Can be windy - but worth it.

I cant stress ho amazing this view is (please see pictures)! we sat 2 meters from the water on the rocks! service was great with excellent staff! we enjoyed our food thoroughly and thought the pricing was fair considering the location and setting! would highly recommend and personally visit again! 6 stars if possible

The best thing about the restaurant is the location. Other than that it's average, it's expensive (but what can you expect from that location) and the waiters were a bit rude and kept getting our cocktail orders wrong

Ok food and service, at a steep price. Seafood curries tasted uncooked. Even though the menu said that it was served with rice, the chef insisted that it wasn't. Had to ask and wait for cutlery after food arrived. Great location. Service and food was a let down. Money was spent mostly on the great view.

A setting that is as likely to rival any from French Riviera to Greek Isles. In all probability rated amongst the most prime whale watching real Estate in the world. The menu is good, made great by impeccable attention to detail with convenient exceptional wine pairing on the menu. The wine list is one of the best you're likely to find anywhere. The food has shown vast improvement over recent time, served hot, tasty and to perfection. The plating attractive. Service can be a challenge but remember it can get busy and the unique position can make life challenging for the staff. It can be a bit pricey but for an afternoon of socialising over cocktails or good food and wine, alone, as a couple or in a group of great friends probably worth every penny.

Great venue built into the rock face / cave.
We didn't have great service on the day - they seemed under staffed - and the beer taps were mostly empty. But the good food and great view made up for it.
