just loved it!
great atmosphere for a great weekend morning or lunch for food lovers.
try a pizza with eggs and fresh Avo on top.
nice variety of vendors for food, and the whole area is great for a weekend morning stroll
the market itself is sheltered from any weather condition, so it great for any occasion.

Like it a lot. Been to quite a few markets around Cape Town. His one falls in category of R44 and Biscuit Markets. Live music, under cover (Great for wet weather), food, parking and the rest. Open Friday from 5pm to 9pm, Satudays and Sundays. Enjoy.

The market wasn't as big as I was expecting but after stepping in it was perfect. Everything you can imagine and more under one roof. Definitely check out the lady with the feathers. And the guy that makes seats look like a marmite bottle. The food and drinks the selection is crazy I could spend all day trying something different. Well worth the visit.

One of the reasons for me going going back to Houtbay. This is one of the nicest, friendliest little markets we have visited. The large array of food and curios, the colorful and decorative displays, the convenient eating quarters are setup to entice your senses and is just so inviting. The food caters for every need. The the live music to entertain you while you enjoy your meal is awesome. You could spend the afternoon just getting lost in it all.

This is a firm favorite due to the fantastic collection of food & curio / clothing stalls and especially due to the vibe it gets on a Friday evening with love music & a well stocked bar. Make sure you get there early as space is a premium but you won't be disappointed. If I were them, I would make the bar smaller to create more space but a definite box to rock when in Cape Town for locals or tourists!

I loved the happiness in the beach and restaurants, the fish and chips was great. I felt so bad for the sea lion that was fed the whole day long and R10 were asked for buying of fish as you came close to it. I really wish it can be left to have its me time and attract tourists more in the water than on the outside

My favourite place in Hout Bay. I make it a goal to go at least once a month - and with an empty stomach. They've got the best variety of food in town. You really can't go wrong. Looking forward to my first live music experience there - I've made an unfortunate habit of narrowly missing them. Definitely worth a visit any time though.

Just a run of the mill market.but the burgers were good and the beers were cold. If you need to find some gifts it's a good place to look. Everyone is really friendly and helpful.

But I forgot to ask if they had tequila. So I'll have to go back.

This indoor market is a cool little place to visit. It has a mix of stalls and a food & drink section at the back. The local arts and craft work done here is great. Especially the artists that use metal work to create various animal pieces, just incredible.
We ate at the food stalls here and were very happy with our choice along with a beer from the bar. Well worth checking out.

Lots of little shops / stalls with a relatively good variety of goods. There is a wide variety of food available. A nice place to look for gifts and bric-a-brac. It gets very busy at lunch time.

There is a wide range of food stalls. Finding somewhere to eat is quite difficult and the food area can be quite crowded at times. The view outside is really amazing though.
I assume that the market is targeted more at tourists as there isn't much besides the food that attracts locals.

Bay Harbour market is really fun, great place to see a huge variety of food and craft stalls. There is even a spa where you can get a facial or massage!

Highlights:
- There is delicious food and they cater to all types of people (vegetarian, banting, vegan, sugar free etc).
- The prices are fairly competitive, not cheap, but it is not overpriced
- They often have amazing live music- perfect for a Saturday afternoon "chill"

Negatives:
- No designated kids area
- Very little change in stalls, so if you've been there once, you wouldn't need to go again
- Outside area is very small so it gets a bit stuffy inside.

Perfect blend of art, craft, food and music. On a Friday evening this place is buzzing with folks winding down their week. Enjoying craft beer and great food with some great bands. It can get pretty crowed. Saturday and Sunday it's more chilled and you have any easier time grabbing a bite and a place to sit. Huge variety of food vendors, and styles of food to meet everyones palate.
