A fun afternoon on Easter Sunday with the family with a great view, the restaurant on the top serves good food and the drinks at the bar are great, and both are very decently priced! The prices to ride the cable cart isn't too bad either, there's free parking close to the ticket office. There's a restaurant and shops both on top of the mountain and below. The walk on the mountain isn't very long, and has just breathtaking views, so it's very enjoyable to do with the whole family. Definitely a outing worth doing!!

Lovely place to be with your family and friends for a weekend.. It's calm and quiet. Nice life music performance we got there and we even got to see a guy taking off with a parashooter

This was a fun outing for the whole family.

It missed 5 stars because the kiosk was out of order due to fridges not working, and also because there are slight issues with wheelchair accessibility here, including the staff suggesting that the disabled person is removed from the wheelchair to utilise the cable car.

I'm not sure how that would work, but I felt that possibly this needs looking into and I suggest some retraining of the staff may be required.

A good visit for a few hours. The facility is well organised with friendly staff and well maintained facilities. On the top, the views are spectacular, however it's a relatively small mountaintop - don't expect hours of hiking. We had breakfast at the self-service restaurant - abundant fresh food portions, and had great views. There's also a bar and pizza place at the top.

A great getaway just outside of Johannesburg! Well priced for a superb day in the sun overlooking the expanse of the Hartebeespoort Dam with views of the Johannesburg skyline in the distance. The only issue is that you cannot take a picnic basket up to the top.

Came here for my birthday and they provided a free cable car ride once I presented my ID and the view from the top is breath taking

Great fun family outing. The restaurant at the top of the cable serves great pizzas and the the 360 degree views are fantastic.

We had not been up the cable cars in years. We really enjoyed our ride up the new cable cars. Everything is newly done and revamped once you get to the top. We had refreshing drinks served by a friendly barman at one of the restaurants.

To really enjoy the place. Bring a picnic blanket and flask. Food is served at the top and you are discouraged from bringing your own food up to the top of the mountain. Great place for a date. Tickets are R200 per adult(return). You can opt to hike up or down.

I would have given it a 5 star review but I won't and I am not sure if I should return or even recommend it.

I was there together with my partner and we enjoyed the ride up and the walk around the mountain. We then ordered food and non-alcoholic beverages at the 360° eatery. We then went to have a seat on one of the benches with the view of the dam.

Hardly 30 seconds past and a waitress from the bar side of it came to us and asked us if we will be ordering any alcoholic beverages and I replied that not yet we are waiting for food 1st then we will after. To both me and my partners disbelief the waitress told us that we then can not sit there because the benches are "reserved" for people who are buying from the bar.

I am one to stand my ground but because I wanted to enjoy the experience with my partner we moved away and immediately the waitress told a white male to sit there with his family and food from the 360° eatery and no alcoholic beverages in their possession this to me was straight disrespectful and discriminating to be told to leave and a white man sits there is really disappointing to say the least I never thought I would be subjected to such a treatment at an establishment like this but I guess the colour of my skin is more inferior to that of a white family there. Maybe my money too was inferior to this establishment. So I have serious doubts about ever coming back there. It may not make any difference to your business but at I will rather use and spend my hard earned money at a place more deserving next time

An awesome way to get a panoramic view of Pretoria, Hartebees and Johannesburg. An outdoor experience perfect for all age groups. Take a gondola up the mountain and spend an awesome time with friends and family. Once on the summit, take a walk, sit down, have an awesome view of the awesomeness that is Gauteng. While doing a walkabout educate yourself about the history of the different places around the mountain summit. Sit down at a restaurant and have something to eat, buy yourself something to remember the place by before you descend the summit on a gondola.

This place is awesome. Really well organized and everything there was in mint condition. I can definitely recommend a Visit and I will be going back myself as well. The equipment is well looked after and the facilities at the top are very juice and looked after and pricing is also not too bad. The view from the top is spectacular. Do yourself a favor and go take this trip you will love it. Sit in one of the viewing suites at the top order a beer and pizza and enjoy the view.

Beautiful view of the surrounding area. Nice friendly staff and clean place. There is a great area at the top of the cable ride for grabbing a bite and having a few drinks. Definitely a place worth visiting.
