This branch has absolutely over charged me. Not only have they charged roughly double the price on my booking, but they have charged over 50% more than what I signed for on the contract, and there was no damage to the vehicle, and it was returned full. They literally upped the daily rate. I will be taking this up with the head office, and take my future business to another firm.

Due to really bad service and an incompetent employee called Hubert at the Avis Paarl Branch I am being charged R2200+ for damages that a previous client is responsible for. Bertha the manager at Paarl/Stellenbosch would rather ignore my calls than deal with the situation. If this is how Avis/Budget deals with all its clients then I guess I’m just wasting my time Sadly, no good will come of this and I believe Avis/Budget will lose a lot more than R2200+ in the long term

Avis is great.. my 5 star choice for the 4 year in a row now. The stellenbosh staff are really great and the pickup was a matter of 15 minutes
