Zottola's USED TO BE fantastic, but has gone dramatically downhill over the last several months. The food is still very good, but the service is pathetic. Today, my husband and I waited AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES for BREAKFAST?! The table next to us waited two hours and were highly upset. Seriously it was eggs, bacon and french toast. To make matters worse, we had to keep getting up and refilling our own coffee because the wait staff didn't come around. And they were not even busy! Only three tables in our section of the dining room had customers. They also made some changes to their menu a few months back, but still haven't updated the copies they hand you when you are seated. They formerly served fritattas, which was one of the largest sections of their menu, but have since replaced them with breakfast bowls, which is just a bunch of stuff piled up with egg on top. It reminds me of the stacked food bowl you buy at KFC. Meh. I would highly recommend avoiding this place for breakfast on Sundays altogether and if you go for dinner, allow yourself at least two hours.
A great place to dine. Nice atmosphere. Soups are excellent. Surf Board appetizer platter, select cheeses, jumbo shrimp, scallops and more. Food is prepared well. Home made ice cream was wonderful.
Fantastic food. Everything made from scratch! Service is excellent. I would highly recommend.
Such good food and very reasonable prices. Love it! Great service too Its like being at home!
Embarrassingly bad service. We could tell there would be trouble as soon as we sat down. Most restaurants give you a greeting and ask what drinks you would like. Instead, we sat for 10 minutes with half the number of menus we needed (?). The waitress couldn't seem to locate enough menus for our table. There was only one other party in the dining room. We finally requested menus; that is when she said she was trying to find some. Another ten minutes later, we were just ready to leave. The service was unreasonably slow in merely taking our order. We finally placed our order after a half hour in a relatively empty restaurant (only three tables occupied then). It took about 20 minutes more for merely one soup and one salad. We started to notice the waitress was prioritizing a large party of 8 in the dining room and not paying much attention to us. This behavior continued for the rest of the visit. If Zottola's cannot provide service to the limited number of guests it had on what should have been a busy Friday night, we wondered how it operates when busy. The waitress continually serviced the large party of 8 and then repeatedly turned away from acknowledging our table when she came out into the dining room. It was downright rude. She did not even bring out our food. Someone else did. Such a shame, because the food was okay. This was only our second time at the restaurant, but it was the last. Our first visit was great. We noticed another couple that came in at the same time we did seemed to leave without getting any food. We wonder why. Our visit took just short of 2 HOURS. Because this older waitress ignored our table in favor of a party of 8 in an empty dining room, we will ignore Zottola's as a food option in the future. We won't be back.
Crab Benedict yum!! Great brunch. I've never had a bad experience at Zottola's.
Great food, friendly service, big size meals, good music on weekends.
Fantastic food at a reasonable price. I will definitely go again
Small place, Great food.
Great food nice place friendly staff
Only word to describe Zottolas is Spectacular Cindy and Ray are some of greatest people you could ever hope to meet. Excellent atmosphere, just a nice simple place for dinner with friends, good food, simple entertainment in the summer Thursday nights, as others have stated its a great country setting jem..
