A good place for tires and minor auto repairs
Fast and very friendly service at a fair price
We came in at 5:30 with wheel issues and they worked until all was correct (just past 7pm). The service was absolutely perfect and they gave me piece of mind. The price is more than reasonable. We have no complaints, 100%.
Hosted a notre dame tail gate party in the parking lot and donated all funds to st jude great place to pre game park and just head to watch the Irish :) thanks zolman tire for allowing Indiana Beverage to participate in such a fun and exciting time with great donations to a wonderful cause like st jude!
I've had good luck here in the past with basic oil changes and tire rotations (and even recommended them to other folks), but I won't bring my family's vehicles back--or recommend Zolman's services--after my latest experience. On a recent visit for a routine oil change and tire rotation the service technician noted an issue with the front sway bar link. They let me know, I authorized replacements, and by the end of the day I had my oil change and new front sway bar links for under $200. Fair enough. The technician, however, also recommended over $4700 (excluding tax) in other needed maintenance on my '05 Camry (99k miles), $2957 of which was deemed "important." Interestingly, during the courtesy inspection performed as part of the oil change by a different tech, at least one of these parts was deemed to be in good condition. I let them know I'd take the car and hold off on the recommended repairs, and decided to get a second opinion. Upon examination by a trusted local (non-chain), ASE certified mechanic, I was told all looked in good condition and, "sadly, it looks like they were trying to sell you a service you didn't really need yet." This mechanic knew I was more than willing to get the work done (and have him do it rather than Zolman's), yet this was still his advice--at no charge to me. I got under the lift and took a look myself, and there was no sign of the leaking hydraulic fluid from the strut in question. And, to add insult to injury, I had to tighten up the grease fittings on the newly installed links, as they were left inaccessible for greasing (facing upward and toward the front of the car) and untightened. One last note worth keeping in mind (and which might help explain this whole fiasco): As I was waiting to drop off my keys for the service, I could observe on the front desk a detailed breakdown of sales numbers/work per technician in dollar amounts. Put otherwise, there's little doubt Zolman's is incentivizing the upsell, even if it's not in the customer's best interest. My own experience is a case in point.
My tire blew out on the road. They quickly installed my tire and put my spare and accessories back in where they belong.
Highly recommended. Fast service, knowledgeable staff, and never pushed unnecessary work.
Good and fast service
I went in 100% convinced I needed new brake pads. I received a friendly call telling me that I had plenty of life left on them. I would have never questioned the new pads. They even spent time telling me what could be causing the sounds I was hearing. Their honesty goes a long way.
Reliable service. Excellent advisors on your car's needs.
This is where I always take my vehicle whenever I have an issue that I can't handle. I never feel like I'm getting ripped off. I took it there because my brakes were squealing a few months back and they called my and told my there was just something caught in there and my pads were fine. They only charged me the amount to clean them up. They could have easily replaced the brakes and charged me a whole bunch of money, but the didn't. I've been to garages that would have done that.
A couple of weeks ago I went in because I had a wiring issue with my tail lights. They said it would cost me a diagnostic fee to find it. When all was said and done, they only charged me half the fee because they "found it early." They didn't have to do that because I had no way of knowing the difference. It feels so good to have a mechanic you can trust.
On top of that they are efficient. They usually have my vehicle back to me the same day. One time they even went out in a snow storm to get a part so that I could have it back same day.
Started my Saturday with the unwelcome discovery of a flat tire. I begrudgingly put on the spare and headed to Zolman really not wanting to deal with the time or cost. They worked me into their busy schedule and had me out in about an hour. Best news of the day — they were able to cheaply repair the existing tire instead of replacing it for new. In short order, they turned my day around, had me back on the road and really, really impressed me with their honesty and customer service. Job well done!
