Amazing buffet with great food. Not your typical buffet. Buffet is only served on Saturday.
I've really wanted to try this place for a long time so I was looking forward to this visit with high expectations, and I really wanted to give a 5-star review. I was not aware, however, of their "Saturday night buffet" and I was equally unaware that on Saturday nights the buffet is the ONLY option. So we stayed and gave it a shot but, like other reviews before me, I just can't say much good about it. It's typical buffet food. Everything tastes "just okay" but it's just a little dry and just a little overdone. I asked the guy cutting prime rib for the rarest he had, and he told me it was all the same: well done. I'd love to come back on a weeknight and try the normal menu, but for my Saturday experience 2 stars is all I can offer for my unmet expectations.
Having said all that, the desserts were actually quite good. And the wait staff were pleasant and charming.
Avoid the Saturday night buffet! We stayed at the resort and got the buffet package. I'm glad we did because the $30 a person would have been a giant rip off. Everything was either dry or cold. I'm sure they have to cater to the older patrons that made up the majority of the people there, but the food had ZERO seasoning. Bland, bland, bland. Maybe their regular menu is good, but I won't go back to find out.
The service was great, and the food was even better. We loved the oregano chicken, and the prime rib was excellent. My wife and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful night out.
We came here for Saturday night buffet and the manager Darren was able to squeeze us in and was incredibly accommodating. His positive attitude and hospitality has made our family big fans. The food was awesome too!
Z's has a great buffet going on every Saturday night this summer for only $28. It had prime rib, fish, chicken, soup and salad, calamari, wings, lots of sides, and yummy desserts. Amazing price for what you get. They even had live entertainment. My family of 6 really enjoyed the experience!
My husband and I love the food here and it's quiet and upscale. Perfect for a quiet night out. Service was good when we went. Hardly any people
Ate there on 2/18. We ended up waiting about 1.5 hours despite the restaurant being less than half-full. The host was incredibly rude and cold to us when we asked for a table. Honestly, she cheapened the establishment and made it seem much less high class than it is. The host was also rude to people with reservations and seemed to have no sense of urgency to seat those who were there waiting to check in and be seated.
At the time we were seated, there were about 13 taken tables and 17 open tables. Definitely make a reservation before since they will otherwise make you wait. I think they kept the restaurant empty due to a lack of servers, but they could have easily afforded another server or two with the number of people who got turned away when they asked for a table. The host then did not tell our server that she had seated someone in his section, so he ended up discovering we were there when he went to check on another table in the section.
Once seated and found by our server, our experience was good. The steak there is great. Our side sauces were not put in but were eventually brought to us. The dessert at Z's is AMAZING! Highly recommend them for dessert. I hope they get more servers and a better host!
We had the Valentine's dinner: onion soup, chateubriand, side breads and pretzels with seasoned butter and deserts. LOVED the dinner. If you like MEAT try the chateubriand!!! It's plenty for 2 people. We also had live music playing the pianno. NICE. We just weren't so keen of the deserts.
We went about half an hour after opening, so service was really quick. The waitress was very friendly and inviting. The food was perfection! Steaks were done as we ordered and the vegetables that come with the meal were awesome! We were surprised to have live music. This place has a very nice atmosphere.
