Food was decent. I tried eel as the main course for the first time. They served it with the slightly slippery and slimey skin. So beware. Dessert was pretty good. Among the best customer service I have ever received. Kinda dying to go back, but not for the eel this time.

Good prices and very nice staff. Always happy to go here and enjoy some Asian atmosphere. Btw if you speak Japanese they do to. And also English. Win win for everyone.

Great service and delicious food. I highly recommend the Sukiyaki of whatever variety. It is just like I had in Japan and one order is enough to feed at least 2 people starting at just 8.95. Make sure you try this spot out.

Good food, good prices. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Good people work there.
They aren't perfect but they feel like family. I was very comfortable asking for whatever I needed.
Once inside, I never felt like I was right off of State Street.

Food and environment was extremely good and authentic, and priced about exactly what would be expected. Staff was very friendly. Not a bad word to say about it other than I wish I would have discovered them sooner!

My favorite restaurant in Orem. For a reasonably priced sit-down lunch, try the bento. The sunken both seats are a great touch, I think, but there are tables available as well. I would recommend any noodle dish, and the sushi is good too.

The service here was wonderful. The plates were impeccable and beautiful. I ordered the deep fried pork belly with squid it was very good, the portions are big I couldn't finish mine.

Keep this local gem on your favorites list. If you love Hole-in-the-wall local favorites that makes you feel at home, this is the place. The traditional atmosphere and smiling staff invite you when you walk in the door. The traditional seating invites you to relax. The menu is full of well known dishes along with more traditional fare. I tried the tonkatsu with stir fried noodles and was blown away.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but this place pleasantly surprised me. The Udon soup was delicious. The dragon fly roll was superb. Kids meals are on point and the staff was helpful and courteous. Nice atmosphere.

Busy Friday night, but worth the wait! Fresh made sushi, was awesome good. The meso soup and chicken was also very good. This is going to be r a regular repeat for us!

At first glance the restaurant seems a little sketchy, but the inside is clean and welcoming. Some of the Japanese restaurants of the serves food that tastes the same as the building looks. Yamato however, has some really good, authentic tasting food. The service is excellent, and the staff is nice and professional. I would definitely recommend this place.

My family is mixed-some like Sushi-some don't eat fish at all. My family is very Sushi picky, and they love it here. As a non fish water, o have many options, # 1 being the Crispy, honey, sesame Chicken ‼️ I could eat it everyday. YES, it IS THAT good‼️ Great salads, amazing tempura, that crazy good chicken❣ They have an unusual exterior and equally unusual parking situation. Don't let that stop you from going. They have diverse seating arrangements, if you want a more authentic feel, screened rooms, they will even make some dishes at your table. Pricing is fair, portions as well. It's a little hard to spot the 1st time you go, but go anyway. This place is an unusual gem in a world of "sameness ".
