I enjoy the equipment and very friendly staff. The place could use a sauna and a cleaner locker room area, but it remains a good place to get in a workout
If you want a mega gym that tries to upsell you or trick you into spending more than you agreed to than this is the place for you. Go for it. Otherwise there are a ton of affordable, better options around.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They should rename this place to the garbage gym. Smelly, unclean, and horribly trained (not trained, at all) staff. Was close to home but forget it. Found a much better gym in Bayview, and though it is further away, it is 24 hours, the price is comparable, and the equipment, cleanliness and personnel are FAR SUPERIOR. Tried to formally complain to management and could not get their email address or phone number. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Don't take my word for it, check out their BBB Better Business Bureau rating. 22 negative complaints of which none have been responded to by Xperience. Once they have your credit card in their system you are DOOMED.
Rip off when it comes to canceling your membership! They tell you everything is fine, then come up with some random charge of $80+ dollars, apparently from the other recent reviews we aren't the only ones that it happened to.
I have been a member for over a year now I had a personal trainer who was amazing his name was David I lost 122 pounds over our year training together. Also there is a worker named Alan there as well who's great, big help! Wondering why I'm giving it a 2 star? The payment system is a rip off they over charged me twice while I was training there I was charged $500 for two months worth of training, when asked why they said "oh we thought you wanted to pay it off" now that I am leaving and relocating I gave them a heads up to cancel my membership and they tell me I owe them $88 from a previous membership sent to collections in order to cancel!!??? Now correct me but I've been training for over a year paying $250 a month and my membership every month when did these "previous charges" occur?? Their whole system is rigged and it was even confirmed from an employee that they have been known to take extra money from people!!! Wouldn't recommend it because of this.
Terrible customer service. I have also seen numerous large centipedes
Went gym staff doesI not what there going on pt time. Got hurt off there advice. Pt time is100hr what thing we made of. Also geting a replacement card is 10dollars so unfair they wear off so ez after a year
I have no complaints, people are friendly, the location is the right size, always nice and clean.
They try to get you with the low monthly fee, thinking it's affordable, but then slap you with a RIDICULOUS $99.99 fee half a year later. Like WHAT? That gym is extremely small and not comfortable to walk through since all the machines are crunched up together. Let me not get started with the stretching area, it's on a small corner only fit for like 4 people!? Very disappointed, I actually thought it would be way better then Planet Fitness. Not a comfortable environment, just jocky guys laughing loud while trying to show off lifting weights in another small corner. PASS.
Like most people, going to the gym is not the most enjoyable experience for me, but I feel good after. I like to use the cardio machines for the most part and tended to schedule my gym time to coincide with a football or basketball game I might be interested in watching to take my mind off the workout. This was all well and good till one day 3 of the TVs were out, and none of the TVs were showing the channel that they are labeled with. I went to the front desk to ask to change the ESPN TV back to ESPN but was told he couldn't because he'd have to change every TV This seems confusing and archaic considering the TVs that are on are on different channels. I figured this would have been addressed but it's been months. I don't understand why they turn some of them on, as they just have a screen saver showing. I've resorted to watching stuff on my phone, and it's not a deal breaker, it's just inconvenient and confusing. At least re-label the TVs.
Recently I attempted to use my kids club membership for my 5 year old and my 8 month old son at the West Allis location. Upon entering the daycare I noticed that it was one daycare worker for about 8 screaming and running kids, plus she also had 2 babies including my own. The girl looked at me like she had no idea what to do with a baby. I stayed and fed my baby while watching the madness in the kids club. While there, one of the babies was in the bigger play area, not in the baby section where he should've been (plus the baby gate to keep the running and screaming kids was wide open) the baby in the bigger play area was ran over and hurt by the bigger kids.
I couldnt believe my eyes. Grabbed my two kids and ran the hell out of there. Xperience fitness, I dont know if you have to follow state daycare regulations, but the ratio of child to worker was no appropriate, and the environment and the kids were not safe, but, what else do I expect for $10 a month. Raise your prices and get better workers who know what theyre doing. It was a horrible experience and my baby nor myself will be returning. Seriously horrible Xperience!
Only given 1 start because I had to! Unprofessional people PERIOD!!! Was recommended by my family member who joined a buddy workout with me. Time to do the workout and the trainer wasn't even in town for the scheduled session and I was charged for it lmao! On top of that I sat in the gym waiting for 45 minutes and no one could tell me he wasn't available until the next day when I called about the charge on my account. Then I'm charged an annual fee after only being a member for 2 weeks! Was told by the trainer I signed up with and the billing department that I wouldn't be charged until July and it's only April. No one could fin a manager and ABC financial was rude and didn't want to refund my payment. I've cancelled all 4 memberships for my household now!
Every employees are so personable.
The clientele is laid back and friendly.
Everything is easily accessible.
As someone who doesn't listen to music made after 1985, the music is not bad at all, unlike some of the other locations.
I'm moving out of state soon, will definitely miss "my, xperience" in West Allis. BEST LOCATION!
