The place is a little dated. Needs a little maintenance, but not terribly so. Great views in the area tho. Worth staying.

Friendly staff, quiet mountain lodges, and beautiful countryside. The units are older, but have been kept up well. The kitchen is slightly dated, but well equipped. Bathrooms we're clean and adequate. Filtered mountain views from our screened porch made for pleasant and peaceful morning cups of coffee. Pleasant place to bring the family away from the bustle of the city.

We stayed in Maple Ridge. The late check in was rough as the phone was not answered until the third call. The unit was very nice. It's a two bedroom lock off. The upstairs room is all one level while the other is two. The upstairs room has full sized kitchen appliances while the downstairs has minis. Since our party had both rooms, this worked out fine.

I always enjoy staying at the Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains. It's quiet, the rooms back up to the woods so the views are gorgeous, the staff are really nice, and it's near just about all the hiking you could ever dream of. There's also a good looking municipal golf course near by.

We arrived just as check was closing, our keys had been placed in the safe but one of the ladies got them for us. Best check in we have ever had with Wyndham, no pressure to come have breakfast and a hard sale to buy more points. Our condo was super clean and appeared to be recently renovated. We loved the decor. Lots of room. Furniture was in like new condition and comfortable. The bed and pillows were also comfortable. We had everything we needed for cooking our meals. One of the best experiences we have had at Wyndham resorts.

Very disappointing for a "resort". Tiny dark indoor pool which was always full of kids, a hot tub the size of an office desk, also full of kids, no supervision. Lake Lure is beautiful, boat tour was fun, but no chairs on the beach, basically there are no amenities here. If you like to golf, you will enjoy it, otherwise if you are grown and want a vacation, choose somewhere else.

The facilities are very nice, however the amenities are pretty spread out so you can't really walk to the indoor pool from our unit for example since it is a mile down the road. The beds are comfortable and seem new and each bedroom has an HD TV. There is a full kitchen with a good set of kitchen wares. The screened in porch is nice and there is plenty of room for everyone. Things seem reasonably updated and bright and everything is very quiet. I would come back and stay again.
