I hate going to the dentist and yet they have been stellar here. I will not yet change my mind about hating going to the dentist but they really have done their best to make it a comfortable experience for me.
I recently had a tooth extracted and I have not been very impressed with WVU's oral surgery dept. They have always been pretty bad when it came to bedside manner, but I dont mind if everything else is good. Unfortunately, it is not. My extraction site continued to get more & more painful despite them saying that it was fine. Finally, on the 3rd visit that wk they began to treat me. It was on a Thursday. I called their emergency number over the weekend when things got much worse, only to find out that they do not actually have anyone on call. I would advise anyone who is thinking of coming here to save up their money and visit a real dentist or oral surgeon. These people do not care about you and do not pass information on to one another. I could've avoided a long, slow, painful recovery had I known this.
They pulled out my tooth, my anus puckered and it has never been the same since
Terrible experience. Dentist didn't seem to care if I lived or died from all the pain I was in. Told me he didn't have the time to fix my issue and referred me to a dental student still in school. DO NOT GO HERE. 1 Star.
Had my root canal done here. Resident dentist did it. He was though and friendly. Not the newest place but if you are cheap or have crappie insurance they might do it for you.
Go to Charleston where they have a few Free Dental & Health Organizations with highly competent dentist, nurses and doctors, unlike WVU which charges you almost as much as a dental office, I think you save around 20% by going to WVU which isn't worth the treatment you receive.
Poor Service, unqualified dentists, huge prices. They also have a "bawls" to reports their own students to dept collectors
I had to get a tooth pulled in Dec of 2016..my experience was so bad with the student that I got, I was in pain for 3 weeks. In Jan of 2017, about a month later, I had to have another one pulled and my experience was so much different. The student I got, his name was Will Black was probably one else of the best dentists I've ever went to. He was so gentle and kind and if he were to practice in morgantown after he graduates, I would most definitely go to him.
I've had some good experience's and some bad but mostly good all depends on who you get since this is a school you won't always get someone who is as experienced as others but haven't had any major problems with the services I've received and like I said this is a school so you can't expect everything to go perfect everytime
