The best advantage of this thrift store is location, right across the street from the Volunteers of America thrift store. The merchandise is slightly better organized and seems of slightly higher quality than that at any other thrift store in Lansing of comparable size, except maybe Hidden Treasures over on South Pennsylvania; still what one would expect at a thrift-store.

Daniel Silvernail, you overexargerated, your visit.., which is it, you said in frontof me you were 25, then on your review you say you are 31.. Anyways doesnt matter anymore. But I'm sure that in your retail line that you have you have ahd your own run insGL.

World Mission Thrift used to be one of my favorite thrift stores. Until today I went to world mission with my son. We walked around with a cart as I do resale online. I was looking for some good deals. After about 5 min we ended up in the toy section and I was looking through the boxes of bagged toys and my kid was putting what I had found in the cart. An employee walked up and was acting like she was straightening things and I thought nothing of it until she commented "I'm just making sure bags Are not getting ripped open and toys are not getting messed up." I thought that was a little weird and thought maybe they had a problem with this with other people but I assured her that I was going to make sure it was exactly as I had found it minus the things in my cart and that I did resale online. She then replied "you're not the one I'm worried about." Talking about my son who was still standing next to the cart not saying anything. She then walked away and I thought wow that was kind of rude.
About 2 minutes later I was still looking at stuffed animals, My kid was standing by the cart not more than 3 feet from me talking "in our inside voices" about his piano lesson this Wednesday . I then heard someone yell "ARE YOU WITH YOUR PARENTS" I looked up and another employee was standing in front of me. I responded in confusion "what?" "ARE YOU WITH YOUR PARENTS?" she yelled again. I thought about what she was asking and said "I'm 31". She then replied that's not what I mean and pointed at the sign that said "all kids must be accompanied by their parents". I then again replied "I'm 31". She looked at my son and said "it says parent where are his parents?" At this point I said "that's my son" I'm 31. I'm his father he's 12" she then said that "another customer had came to the front and said some thing" but she did not say what. Although there were no other customers in that part of the store only the rude lady from a few minutes before. She then walked away and I was standing there feeling really upset and sad that someone could be so rude at a place I had been so many times.

The other lady then walked back up to me and asked if I had a store. I with all my might I said "yeah online" as I was trying to hold my tears in. I then asked for the manager and said "I come here a lot but not much recently because I had moved to east Lansing and that I've never been so embarrassed before In front of my son." She then told me "our manager is not here" and grabbed my cart and pushed it a about a foot like she was going to take it she then said "I hope that you will still come back" and walked away. I stood there for a minute or two feeling sick to my stomach. I felt to upset to check out I thought about leaving without buying anything but I decided why should I do that I want the stuff I had. I checked out and left after a few minutes of not really understanding why that had just happened.

Tomorrow I will be calling management and I will be contacting the main office or owners who ever I can reach to see if this is how they want there customers treated.
