Hello, I appreciate the free mulch but it is hard to use in my organic garden as there is so much plastic waste in it. Lots of pieces of yard plastic, weed wacker chords, rubber from tools etc. It seems that landscapers and private people are throwing their plastics in with their yard waste.

I would very much appreciate some signs up on your gates and where you drive up reminding people to only put GREEN waste in their loads to your facility.

Free yard waste. Efficient, easy to unload. But discovered that it closes for a 1/2 an hour for lunch so I was trapped for 15 minutes trying to leave.

The trash is being littered all over saddle rd on its way from Hilo, it was never like this until trucks started going this way and uncovered loads blowing everywhere throwing fire ants and rubbish all over the pristine native scenic hwy. This is a disaster and i expect someone to care and respond as this cannot continue

This is a waste facility. Do not expect a supercharging station or restrooms and a Starbucks. The view us bleak.

That said, it is one if the best dump I have ever been to in Hawaii County. The other is the Kailua Kona Transfer Station.

This facility is a little difficult to maneuver around the first time, but read the web instructions, weigh in and weigh out- no unforgivable problems. Station employees are very friendly when you tell them you are new. I am sure they remain that way afterwards. We unloaded our trailer and a large dump truck operator next to us helped us unload. What Aloha. Would have 5 stars but for the poor naming conventions used to identify the dump site. By title..by address, by side street name. Used interchangeably and confusing.

The people working there are amazing! Always very friendly, polite and professional. They work hard and fast to fill in the land. There's a different dump spot almost every time I go, and I go a lot running my Kona Junk Removal and Hauling business. And the view is phenomenal! You can see Maui in the mornings out in the ocean.
