I requested a 4 to 5 star hotel and ended up I n this one. Asked for a suite and paid $175.00 a night for 11/22-11/27. It was very disappointing. First of all it is under renovation and EVERY day we were there the construction crew was outside our door rm 300 scraping paint and making much noise. I requested a room on the first floor and ended up on three. No apology for the noise and definitely not a 4 star hotel. Will never patronize them again! Very disappointed. Don't mind paying for a decent place to stay, but give me what I request and give your clients a heads up on the repairs and let them choose if they care to stay or not. Never ever again!!!

Remodeling, but so nice I was surprised to see our room and I wasn't disappointed! It was clean, the hotel lady who checked us in was kind and polite and explained everything. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place to sleep shower was super clean, 8 changing sprays on the shower head gentle spray to hard water spray perfect place! I was very relieved to see the room in great condition! We stayed on the 3rd floor I wore white sock on the carpet and didn't have nasty looking socks when i took them off. I'm Very impressed!

The Hotel staff are friendly. Hotel is undergoing a exterior facelift. Rooms are roomy. The Business center computer needs a soft wear update so word documents can be printed. The Breakfast is pretty slim. The Location is GREAT. You can walk to Stores and restaurants. The Pool is outside. The Internet is open.

Do not recommend this place at all. I checked in and within 20 minutes in my room, I found bed bugs. I have had to deal with bed bugs in the past, so I am very aware of what they look like. I decided to leave the hotel to stay elsewhere since anyone who has dealt with bed bugs knows that if they are in one room, they are likely in multiple rooms. I was told that I had to talk to the travel booking site to receive a refund. I got in contact with the travel booking site, and they were completely willing to give a full refund if the hotel would okay it. When they got in contact with the hotel, the hotel said that they would not give a refund. That is just downright poor management on the hotel's part.

I am a cement tanker day cab truck driver and became stranded in Columbus due to a busted pipe. I had the good fortune of staying at the Wingate. I walked in covered in cement from head to toe with not as much as a change of clothes. The kind lady at the front desk did my laundry for me in the hotel machines so I didn't have to do so wearing nothing but a towel. Not only were the accommodations very nice and reasonably priced but the customer service went above and beyond. Her name is Bianca and I can't thank her enough.

Cable didn't work for the entire night. It's unfortunate because if it weren't for that, I'd give the hotel 5 stars. It's clean and well kept, and the breakfast was pretty Decent.

As far as the cable issue, I called down to the front desk and let them know what was going on. A gentleman answered and told me he'd look into it and call me back. He never did. During checkout I told the female at the front desk about my issue, she said she let the manager know and I have yet to hear from anyone.

Dated, rooms smell of mildew, AC rattles, Mini fridge rattling all night, carpet stained, no hot tub and bathroom smelled like sewer. If you're young and just need a place to crash for a bit.doable. I'm traveling with my family and need a place that's clean and comfortable.

My husband and I recently stayed her for an overnight visit. The room was great--comfortable bed, firm sofa, big bathroom--and very clean. It had a small fridge and a microwave. We didn't need either one. The only gripe I have about the room is that the refrigerator was extremely noisy. If you stay here, you may need to unplug is, if you don't need it.

Very clean, staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. We did a last minute trip and checked in really late. The rate was surprisingly cheap! Glad we stayed here.

My family and I was returning home from Florida for our first family vacation and stopped at Wingate to rest. The staff was pleasant. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. I will definitely look forward to staying again for our future family vacation and will recommend this hotel to everyone i know.
