Fiancee is from Chicago. He was missing Portillos so we decided to give this place a try. He said they were pretty d*mn close. Excellent!

Excellent!! First time here, easy to understand menu, quick service, lovely outdoor patio, and delicious food! The fries were hot and crisp, and the Italian sausage was delicious! The peppers and onions were perfectly cooked, and the bun was fresh and yummy. Great first experience!

Great food and prices but I've only received my correct order once. It won't stop me from going, but they definitely have some work to do with double checking orders.

Legit Chicago dogs. I was surprised and delighted. If you're missing Portillo's, stop on by. Also, this is a convenient place to score some giardeniera. Thanks for taking care of my in-laws!

So happy to have found a place in Northern Virginia to help with my Chicago cravings! They use Vienna Beef products which is a way to get the real taste of Chicago style hot dogs and polish. Their pizza puffs are also just like the ones in Chicago.

Great place and only place for Chicago styled food. Italian beef hot dipped and pizza puff is my fave. It's a comfort when I cant get home to Chicago to get this good good.

I want to thank High Tech Locksmith for the most awesome lock change service ever. Their representative was nice enough to show me a variety of locks to choose from and then was very flexible about setting up a time to install them. First time here I had their basic hot dogs and fries.
My review is probably more like a 3.5 but didn't feel good doing a 3 star!
As another reviewer said, there is a BIG wall to greet you when you come in. You have to walk to the side/back to be served. A little strange layout.
Staff was very nice. No issues with the service - at all.
Why 3.5 stars? I think the hot dogs were pretty basic. It really is not a 5 star dog, and for the price, I didn't expect it. I have had better hot dogs at this place: Haute Dog and Fries (big difference with meat and fries). I would say the dogs at Windy City tasted just fine. I'll be back when I want a cheap hot dog. It took about 1-2 mins to get my hot dog. That means my meat was not "cook to order" like Haute Dog and Fries.
The fries though were terrible. There was zero flavor in them. Most restaurants these days have some type of signature fries. These look and taste like freezer fries.
Step up the meat a bit and a different type of fries---and this review will go up!response / report this review -

The food is as close to authentic Chicago beef as you can get outside of Chicago. The crew is awesome! I regularly drive 30 miles one way just to eat here.

For fun we got them to cater our wedding and it couldn't have gone any better. Angel, the owner, and his wife set everything up and went the extra mile with bringing buckets with ice for the sodas. We had a lot of children at our event so the food was a big hit. Much better than the normal rubber chicken wedding fair.

Went for a Sunday lunch. Service was provided by two aloof, unfriendly teenagers who looked as if they were being forced to work there. Didn't speak upon entering the restaurant which is as big as a walk in closet, stared at my wife and I as we surveyed the menu. Food was sub-par. Nothing special at all. Only bright spot? It was cheap. Won't be returning.
