They have good, tasty and healthy food, but the prices are a little expensive. The reason I give them two starts is because they totally messed up my order, I was missing something I ordered. Except of that, the restaurant location in the downtown area so it's quite easy and convient to find.
Everything is great there until it's not. The food is fresh, tasty and has great options. But if something bad happens, like moldy bread, or undercooked fish, it just is not something that management wants to deal with. They have enough customers that if they lose one here or there, no
problem. I don't go there anymore even though its right next to my office. Its a long line to wait in once for lunch. But it really sucks to have to go back to correct bad food. You spend yiu whole lunch hour waiting on them, and they don't even offer a complementarity lemonade.
I've had my bad and good of tender greens. The bad being served tuna that was old had a green filmy slim on it. And the good with their new menu with the grilled cooked to order salmon. I also love their backyard steak salad and plate. I like more of their options now super pricey though.
Tender greens offer a healthier choice of food. Menu is small but delicious. Can be pricey depending on a la cart items. Spent almost $50 for 2. It is a great quick place to eat once in awhile.
Good food. This is my second experience with Tender Greens, both have been good. Portion size relative to price is not balance in my opinion but food has been cooked and prepared well and appears to be of high quality.
Everything was awesome! Food quality and flavor was phenomenal. Customer service was very good. Price was decent (slightly higher than I'd expect). And I beat the rush! The line was out the door when I finished eating. It is very popular and for good reason.
Tender Greens is one of my favorite restaurants. It's part of the farm-to-fork movement. All the food is fresh and tasty. You order near the entrance, and they make your food while you pay and order drinks at the far end. They have wait/bus staff to clear dishes and get drink refills. I've never met a Tender Greens employee who wasn't friendly and helpful. I love this place!
It has gone down downtown the chicken is not fresh small pieces the effort has gone to the mission valley store. Still love the vegan platter. It a not the same as a year ago
Winning combo of fresh made food and convenient layout. Love the salt and pepper chicken sandwhich with spinach side salad. Natural sodas are solid also. Seared tuna sandwhich. Also legit.
Food looked great completely fresh, so freshen fact seemingly forgot to wash the veggies. My girlfriend found a catapillar in it! Now we ordered online and got it delivered so it's not like we could say something to the waiter but what the heck!!! Terrible.
Elegant Quick Dining
This is the most delicious and well-presented food I've ever had from a counter-serve restaurant.
This is my favorite restaurant to dine at when I'm in San Diego. The food is fresh from local farms and absolutely delicious. My fave dish is the kale simple salad with steak paired with their red blend wine!
