Never had better Tagliatelle bolognese. All the dishes are great and portions are generous. Favorite Italian place. Wish they would bring back the arrincetti tho!

Great food, great service. Don't miss this one. Try the garlic knots, they're unreliable. Thx Lorna's keep up the great work.

Great home style Italian food. Bare bones decor, but you come here for the great food and food prices.

This place was a disappointment. I wanted the Mediterranean salad without olives, upon trying to order it and asking for no olives I was told that it is impossible to do that because their salads are premade? What even? Anyway I ordered the Caesar salad instead and a side of pasta with meat sauce. The salad came out and all I could taste was oil. There was not a creamy white sauce, just plain oil. Now on to the pasta. When I say it came out of a can, I am not even close to over exaggerating. It was awful. Lastly, the meatball was and gross and also definitely frozen. Overall the worst so-called "Italian food" I've ever had the displeasure of eating.

Its one of those hole in the wall places that only locals living nearby know about. Amazing Chicken Parmesan and Tagliatella Bolognese. Italian research scientists gave this place top marks!

Food is delicious, outside seating area available, small but not overly crowded, reasonable price for what you get, good service, quaint.

What a great little place for an excellent meal with great service. We enjoyed the homey feeland the food was delicious. We had what the waiter recommendedtagliatelli bolgoneseit was to die for. We shared that and an Italian salad. Dessert was homemade tiramisujust doesn't get better than that. If you are in San Diegocheck it out. You will not be disappointed. Best Italian food ever!

Even when it's busy Ive never seen a wait, they are constantly getting people in and out. Joy's tortelloni w/ tomato sauce is amazing. Average prices, great place!

I should state at the outset that the only reason I have this five stars is because I wasn't able to give it fifteen.

This is my favourite restaurant of all time. I now live quite a ways away from this establishment, so whenever I get a chance to visit San Diego, a meal here is not just a requirement, but it tends to be the highlight of my trip.

I've been patronising Lorna's for around three decades, and the food quality is just as good now as it was on my first visits. My particular dishes of choice begin with a small Caesar Salad as a starter. The dressing they use is still the best I've ever tasted, and I've spent a lot of time making comparisons all over the world.

The main attraction is their Tagliatelle Bolognese. The sauce is slightly spicy--though not abundantly so--and a little creamy, chock full of plenty of chunks of meaty goodness. I've introduced many people to this dish who now also exclusively order it, as well. I hear leftovers reheat well, but I've never managed to not finish my plate.

The portion sizes here are of a good size, and the average person may well have leftovers to bring home.

In sum, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Went for Lunch, It's Italian is it not? Just told the waitress I wanted some Spaghetti and meatballs simplest thing you can get right! Impossible to screw it up. Well first things first they don't know their pasta, you see Spaghetti is a small diameter round shaped pasta about a foot long. You would think a so called Italian restaurant would know that. Instead they serve me Linguininot sure how an Italian restaurant can confuse this. Then I got I got this huge hunk of misshapen meat conglomeration that I think was supposed to be the meat ball??? Not sure what happened there. Surely there must be someone in that restaurant who has ate at an Italian place and had meatballs before??? I don't even want to get into the salad but it was not good either. All of this useless meal for costs $22.46! For Lunch mind you! This included Iced tea to drink. They did not screw up the Ice tea. I would NEVER eat there again and I do not recommend you eat there either. This place has lots of 5 Star reviews and I have to assume they are fake, there is just no way!
