We have stayed at the Windermere several times over the past 20 years. I have difficulty traveling and this is one place I can go and it just feels like home. Would highly recommend. The owners are just wonderful and the location is spectacular.

We have stayed at the Windermere numerous times over many years. We love it more each time we go back. Many fond memories of times here with our kids and relatives. Can't wait to return and sit on the porch and watch the world go by. It's a Place in Time.

We stayed here the first time in the fall of 2015 and knew we would be back! We chose to stay here while celebrating our 40th anniversary in September, 2017. We love the beautiful front porch - the view from there is priceless. We loved making new friends at breakfast each morning. Depends what you're looking for - we love the step back in time!

We stayed at the Windermere Hotel for two nights and it was beautiful! The room was immaculately clean and just lovely! The only negative was the weak coffee. Otherwise everything was exceptional!

Victorian style hotel. Loved the stay with some friends. Staff is friendly. It had been freshly painted including the front porch with a sky blue ceiling. Fun place!

No Wi-Fi, stains on bathroom door, and no hot water in shower. When I called the front desk after letting the shower run through half of Lake Huron (you'll need your cellphone, as there aren't any phones in the room), the response was "Maybe several other people are using the shower." Aren't hotels supposed to plan for this when they buy their hot water systems? AVOID.

Staff was everything but friendly, room keeper definitely took my Ray bans, breakfast sucked, ac and wifi didn't work
