Very clean. Very family oriented. Shower house new and very clean. No extra noise except the kids having a great time. Will definitely stay here again when back in the area
Decent campground for the pricenothing really special and no pool, a swimming lake 😕
We stayed at Willow Park Campground in early August of 2017 because Geneva-on-the-Lake State Park did not have availability and we are so happy it turned out that way. It is located just a few miles outside of the town/city of Geneva-on-the-Lake and even closer to the entrance of the State Park. We went into town to check it out and 3/4 of us took our bikes off the RV at the marina. We rode along the shoreline of Lake Erie into town, then back thru the marina and along the bike trails within the park. We found a public beach where we watched the sunset and then rode from the beach, out the entrance to the State Park and back on the road a short distance to Willow Lake Campground. Although the campground is located just off the road, I do not recall being bothered by traffic noise at night or in the morning. There are quite a few full-time seasonal campers but they were all almost completely separate from the come and go RVers portion of the campground, situated separately and farther away from the road. It was actually nice to walk the dog back there and see how Ohio folks set up their summertime homes near Lake Erie. At check in there was a real nice camp store and there is also propane and ice available there. The showers/bathrooms were clean and modern with ceramic tile floors and walls. I just asked my hubby and we think they were pay showers but we didn't think that was a big deal considering the high quality of accommodations we were getting. We were sad our stay was only one night and would absolutely, positively stay here again if our travels take us that way. We would highly recommend Willow Lake to our nearest and dearest without worry of disappointing anyone. I wish I had taken pictures because the ones I have seen of the park do not do it justice. It was quaint, even when completely full, with esthetically pleasing surroundings. We feel lucky to have gotten in on a Friday night before they filled up. The only drawback I can come up with at all, was the fact that the gates were locked at midnight.
We stayed here this past weekend for 3 nights. I cant believe how big the lot was!!! We camp often and have never had a site that huge. Very clean campground and restrooms also. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The kids fished in the pond and spent a lot of time at the amazing playground. So close to the strip in Geneva and the huge beach at the state park. The only thing missing was a pool. That is the ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars. We will be coming back here before the summer is over to stay again. Excellent place to camp.
We stayed at Willow Lake right before it closed up for the season . We loved fishing the pond/lake. Very clean campground and reasonable rate. This whole town was beautiful! Wish we could have stayed there through the summer and not at the end of season. Plan on coming back next time we come to Ohio!
Perfect campground for visiting The Lake. Very nice sites with pull thrus. New rest rooms and nice fishing lake, plus very friendly help and owners.
Nice campground and the people were very nice. Wifi was decent, lots were roomy. Only issue I had was the driveway is lined with big trees and the branches are not cut back so a good sized branch scraped my roof on the way out. Luckily there wasn't anything broken. I shouldn't have to worry about low hanging trees inside a campground!
This is a great campground with great service. Made a reservation for late arrival. Terry met us at the gate to let us in, helped us with bringing firewood to our site, came by to make sure we were ok after hooking up the RV, and even brought us some matches when we couldn't find ours! He's a great guy, even waving us off as we left the next morning. The bathrooms were very clean, and overall the campground was in great condition. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
For anyone looking for a nice, no-frills campground east of Cleveland, you need to give Willow Lake a try. We are in our third year of being seasonal here and are amazed at how little business they have during the week. All transient sites are long, full hookup pull-throughs that are as nice as any we've seen in our travels. All are level with plenty of room between sites. Compared to the national chain location one exit closer to Cleveland, this place in our opinion is far superior - with much better access to Interstate 90.
