I went to their "urgent care/walk in" because they were the only one open in the area at 1am. What a surprise when I opened my bill & I was charged for emergency services. I called their customer service & was told that THEY determine the level of services you receive. A throat swab & a diagnosis of a virus is NOT AN EMERGENCY. Do not use their "urgent care/walk in".

11/28/17 update: After several months of getting the run around with trying to get financial aid & being turned down, I filed a complaint with the BBB & Contact 6. They then looked into it & decided that it was an "error". After several calls from their Billing Department & receiving wrong bills, I just received a notice from Insurance Company that I finally only owe my copayalmost 11 months later. 😡

Very caring physicians and nurses. They work hard to control pain and make sure that you are as comfortable as possible. The rooms are spotless, the beds are comfortable and entertainment options are plentiful.

WiFi is available but because it's a Christian facility, your destination website may be blocked.

Went to the er room I cut my finger really bad. My finger got caught up with the ac belt and pully while fixing my car and I pulled my finger so my finger couldn't go around the pully as I pulled my finger out I seen my finger was cut pretty bad. I had imprinted on my skin the marks of the belt really deep while bleeding and on the other side of my finger a deep cut to the point that you could see my bone. The nurses did a good job numbing the area up and cleaning/numbing it up and bandaging it up but the numbing went away less than an hour as My pain came back worse than what it was and they gave me nothing for pain. The doctor said she would give me something and never came back only the nurse to give me my discharge paper and some antibiotics to send me home. Now I am in extream pain have not been able to sleep because of it and nothing to help with my pain. I have drunk tylonel and ibprofen and nothing. I am in serious pain. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!! WORST THING YOU COULD DO IS TO GO THERE. THE DOCTORS DONT CARE IF YOUR IN PAIN OR NOT. They should shut this hospital down.

Unbelievable, do NOT COME HERE!!!!!. There is no such thing as a nurse call button every time I press it, takes 45 min. To talk to an nurses aid!!!!. Third shift nobody answers. I don't think they have enough nurses. Got to get alot MORE. You might as well call a nurse in the yellow pages. They would get here faster!!!!!. Terrible Costermer service. The only thing I Came here for is my surgeon likes the Operation room. I can't wait to get the hell out of this place!!!!!!!

I have had no problems with this facility. Everyone was professional to me, my daughter, and my husband. I also had my daughter here last year and my labor and delivery went great (besides one lady that was one of my nurses) She seemed like she didn't want to be at work or maybe she was having a bad day. Everyone was great and respectful to my family.

Wheaton is famous for scam billing practices. They exploit a loophole in the law that allows them to charge ER rates for any urgent care visits at locations where the Urgent care is attached to where the ER is. I have written law makers to get this loophole closed that allows scum like this to continue to line their pockets. I fell and only had a small bruise and the doctor wasn't in with me for more than 5 minutes, did nothing, and told me to go home and take some ibuprofen. They charged me over $1,000 for that. All of these dishonest scum need to be locked up in jail for FRAUD!

You're really gambling with your health here. My wife and I had to go twice in one week, and thankfully, it was only a psychiatric condition.

If it were physical, she might be dead.

The first time they turned her away because they didn't feel like she was a good fit, though our doctor insisted that's precisely what she needed. So, we saw her counselor 3 days later, who called her doctor, and together they insisted she go.

They let her in the second time. But only after my doctor insisting that we tell them to call him.

You have to twist their arm into doing their jobs.

The staff the first time were excellent. All were nice and did their jobs to a high level.

The second time, you were an interruption to staff's other priorities. That included going on break, getting subs from Jimmy John's, and playing around on their phones.

Meanwhile, people are in serious pain, and in some cases, dying

But who cares? The main thing's that sub sandwhich and break time!!!

They were laughing a lot the whole time. Not sure what's so funny about an ER.

My wife confronted one CNA on her behavior. She denied everything, but did a better job throughout the night.

I feel sorry for the good staff here who do their jobs well. If I were them, I'd leave ASAP. Whoever's in the decision-making positions at this location sure does a crap job because there's lots of employees who should have no job whatsoever working at this location.

You're better off going somewhere, anywhere, else.

They have excellent doctors. But unfortunately, the office is horrible. I had an exam, but it took them more than three weeks to scan and post the test report to the My Chart, very disappointing.

They contract with a separate company to staff the ER/urgent care doctors and I got screwed big time by insurance because of that. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and compassionate, but like others have said, you will be prioritized and wait times are long both in the waiting room and in the actual ER room too waiting on doctors and nurses.

I had 2 of my children here and overall I received good care. The problem that I have are the nurses in L&D they are so two-faced. It is sad because most of them been there for years. I am currently a student in the medical field and I could never behave like any of the nurses (it's 2/3 of them)here. They treat you well in your face but when they get with other staff members thats when you hear them talking negative about their patients on a very unprofessional level. What about empathy, respect, and privacy? I guess they forgot about that when they were in school. On the other hand, the doctors were great but the nurses are pathetic! If I decide to deliver here and if I overhear any negative remarks regarding any patients I am reporting it. Period.

Had a close friend go in to get her back checked out after she had been in a collision and was feeling back pain.

And these degenerate nurses came in and outright told her they were going to give her muscle relaxers BEFORE they even checked out the condition of her spine.

Once the doctor came in she told her to lay down on the bed and she just asked her which part hurts. As if she was actually really checking something.

They didn't give any recommendations for second opinions or stretches to relieve the pain or maybe recommending an adjustment or even X-rays. Nope. "Just take these pills and you'll be just fine."

The way I see it, they robbed her of her money.

These people do not care about their patients. They will do whatever they can to shove pills down their patients throats for a quick buck.

Avoid this place at all costs. They are a disgrace and should be stripped of their degrees. They don't care about you or your well being. They just want to get paid.
