An incredible experience every single time. Amazing food, fun cultural experience. Every time I visit from Pennsylvania, we discover something new but can also rely on the old stalwarts, too.

I try to come here every time I go to Cleveland. There is so much good food to buy. There’s a guy who makes fresh crepes which are delicious. If you’re looking for fresh produce, this is definitely the place. If visiting Cleveland whether you’re new to the area or not, stop by.

We were very disappointed in our vegetable purchase this Tuesday at the West Side Market . We got peppers, avocado, broccoli, and egg plant. Only the egg plant was of good quality. The avocado were totally a loss. The peppers were upon inspection only good on one side but still usable. The broccoli was obviously old and discolored rapidly. We had to use it before some we had bought last week. So if you're thinking what is being sold is a real deal don't be fooled. Won't happen again!

I love this place purely because of the atmosphere and to watch people. Having said thatthe produce and pastries leave much to be desired. I suppose there are some vendors that sell fantastic food productsbut I haven't found them yet. Still, this place is a piece of Cleveland history and always worth a visit.

Cool, historic location with a variety of food merchants indoors from pastries to meats. The outdoor market has fresh produce vendors. Unique foods at good prices. Produce deals at the end of the day. But shop the neighborhood first! Lots of cool places to eat and meet with friends before shopping the market.

Our First Trip to Cleveland, OH. Most review sites recommend Westside market. We were not disappointed. Just walk around the market and chit chatting with business owners, sampling all kinds of goodies. ( Shopping should be like this. We are going terribly wrong with big box stores) It's a busy market with all kinds of pastries, fresh fruits, meat, cold cuts, fresh juices, dried fruits & nuts. It is very good place to spend your Saturday mornings. With breakfast and coffee you can sit in the balcony and watch vendors and buyers in big picture. Love it. Certainly going back there again.

My first experience was a good one. Be prepared for vendors to solicit on the produce side. The meats side was very clean, no bad smells, approachable vendors, and quick service. I'd recommend bringing cash, and stick to your budget because the money quickly adds up.

Great Market for the most part. Go down the small aisle for produce, the larger crowded aisle has sketchy vendors that get their stuff at auction year round, it's imported goods, stickers on it, not fresh. Be cautious of meat and chicken vendors as well, look for local. There's only 3 I'll buy from for quality and taste. There are dairy and cheese stands selling the same stuff you'd but at the deli or supermarket, not impressive. The specialty vendors are good, esp if you like fresh bread and humus. Don't skip the gyro guy, it's delicious! There's a great place for spices, and they have a store caddy corner to the market, but they're pricey. I shop elsewhere for that. The Italian Sausage take out in the back may leave you disappointed.

This is one of the oldest and most historic markets in the United States. It possesses an old world charm that is really appealing. They have a world class selection of fresh meats, fruits and vegetables and an excellent selection of pastries and sea food. Prices are usually pretty good. The market is not open daily so you will need plan ahead. They are not open on Tuesday or Thursday. Also parking can be really tight on the busier days of Saturday and Sunday. Besides all that the best thing about this market is the culture. You will meet people of all races and nationalities harmoniously getting along drawn together by the international selection of foods that they love. This truly is a great place to shop and it is also a safe place thanks to the presence of the Cleveland Police. It is also a tourist attraction as well so you will meet people from all over America and the world who have come here to Cleveland to experience our local treasure. This market truly is remarkable!

I have always loved the West Side Market. Great products, at great prices. And the atmosphere is unmatched. People walking all over the place, shoulder to shoulder and Saturday mornings comma fighting for parking spots. I absolutely love it. Seriously. It's an institution in Cleveland.

Sales people are too pushy, but can't blame them for trying. The place has everything you could ever want or need. They even give samples which is nice, so you don't waste money. It is very crowded, but people are friendly. The prices are reasonable, but I expected cheaper, since there is minimal overhead. I bought fruit & meat and was pleased with every purchase except the stuffed olives. They tasted odd, and extremely over salted. I love this place!

Ok, there are two separate buildings.

The small one to the right as you are facing the front, in between the big building and the pub, is the produce section. You can find all kinds of fruits and veggies, fresh herbs and such for amazing prices, especially later in the day.

If you go in the main building, you will find meats, cheeses, sweets and all kinds of other things. There are a couple of places serving food, a brewery in the back, a gyro place, a bratwurst spot, that you can eat at.

There is fresh raw seafood, loads of different kinds of meat at various delis, a coffee shop in front, a fresh pasta spot, an herb shop, a sundries shop of sweets, cheeses, meats, grains, dried goods, etc.

There is a fresh squeezed juice and smoothie bar in the back.

You can find Mexican, Asian and Mediterranean ingredients. Basically, if you are looking to prep a fresh meal, you can find just about any ingredient here, plus grab a bite or a coffee and take care of that sweet tooth.

West Side Market is a pretty cool place to shop but you may want to call first and make sure they are open and check the hours. As of this week they are now open on Sundays which I feel is great. Depending on which vendor you choose to shop with I feel very meats are much fresher than Supermarket meat, prices vary but most vendors will match prices. Lots of great deals here. Love the warm season when they open the outdoor Market, real fresh vegetables and sweet fruits very good, I have no problem recommending shopping at West Side Market.
