I love hanging out at the bar near the water. Excellent view, and good service. This is one of my favorite spots in Mt Pleasant.
My favorite place in Mt. Pleasant.
Butch the inside Bartender is very friendly, always greets you with a smile no matter how busy he is!
The Sunday Brunch Buffet is so delicious and was less money than the entree I wanted on the menu (shrimp & grits), so of course I got the buffet. They also have a Bloody Mary bar where you garnish your drink with all of their toppings.
***The best thing here is their HAPPY HOUR!******
M-F 4-7 with half price appetizers that are big enough to share and $2.50 house liquor. My friend and I both shared an appetizer and had 2 drinks each and our bill was $19 with a view of Shem Creek as our table was overlooking the water.
You've got to go here!
Very poor. Party of six. Only two would even rate as 2 stars. Vegetable pasta with chicken must have had a whole red onion which wasn’t under the description. We hand picked onion and filled side plate with onions. Server told us next time order without onion. Pasta was penne pasta not even angel hair pasta. Bottom of bowl was full of water, not wine sauce. Fish was border line undercooked in three dishes. Potato with special was suppose to be Gouda, but it was yellow like cheddar and very salty. . All dishes were warm at best. The country fried was good even though sides were just warm. We are local and first time eating here. Very disappointed. View was great but you can get that on the other side of the creek.
Always love going here. Great view and good happy hour prices. Gets a bit over packed during tourist season.
Wonderful dinner and drinks at outdoors tables on the water. Boats of all types coming and going. You can buy fresh shrimp right off the working shrimp boats. Service was friendly and the food was great ! 5 adults had seafood platters, appetizers and drinks for under $200.
Went to a retirement party for a co-worker here a couple of months ago and it was a great experience. The server was friendly and tolerant of our rather silly group as we reminisced rather than studying the menu, and she kept our glasses full and plates cleared.
We chose appetizers of spinach-crab dip, fried calamari, and fish nuggets. The fish was beautiful: flaky, lightly breaded and fried to a perfect crisp. The calamari was good, also light on the batter and well-seasoned. The spinach-crab dip was ok, but not great, lacking in flavor. You could feel the crab in it, but not really taste it.
I chose paella for my entree and it was delicious! Mussels, scallops, lovely fish chunks, split lobster tail and more all floating in a savory, lightly spiced tomato-based broth over yellow rice. It was heavenly, and so much food I brought home half of it. Except I ate all the mussels and scallops out. So I brought home a bunch of rice and broth and half a lobster tail. The server put a cute little baguette in with my take-home to sop up the broth later.
It was a wonderful place for a special celebration, and the view can't be beat, with dolphins frolicking in the water just outside. There is outdoor seating if you want to get even closer to the dolphins, and the atmosphere is open, friendly, and comfortable. I will keep this place in mind when I want to impress friends with local seafood while keeping it casual and fun.
First time going to this restaurant and it was a pleasant experience. Ordered the shrimp and grits and it was very delicious. Personally, I don't care for onions or bell peppers and the gravy had more than I appreciated. Other than that, everything was great.
Also, the waiter resembled Mel Gibson and I just thought that was awesome :)
Service was good, but food was not worth the price. Oysters on half shell were the smallest I have ever seen. I have had more food on a seafood platter at Captain Dee's for a third of the price. Did not taste like fresh seafood. Will never go there again.
We have been going to Waters Edge since we moved here 9 years ago. I cannot say enough about it! We have NEVER had a bad meal and the service has been spot on! Yesterday I had the spinach salad with salmon. It was absolutely amazing and so much I could only eat half. I would recommend if you want to sit downstairs by the water to get there no later than 3pm.
My crunchy fetta cheese salad with blackened chicken and blueberry dressing, was excellent. The service staff was extremely nice and friendly far better than I remember.
Unfortunately we were sitting outside which "was" great. People that sat next to us decided to lite up cigarettes and was blowing in our faces. Unfortunately this ruined my time and we were forced to leave.
I will rate this place a one because it won't let me rate it a zero! Way overpriced. I had crab legs and they came out cold. Manager got me a new plate that was hot and apologized and that was nice of him. Our waitress sucked. A few hours after I ate, I got sick. This was my first and last time eating here. Over a hundred dollars for two people and it totally was NOT worth it! Don't waste your money or time.
