Biscuits and Gravy where awesome light and fluffy biscuits, sausage gravy very creamy and flavorful. Bowl of grits also very creamy, and a very good cup of coffee, take mine with a little cream and sugar. Enjoyed sitting on the outside deck, which is also pet friendly. Lost Dog never disappoints!!!
Really good food, good service, and really good for dogs. We came here with our corgi and sat outside. There are water bowls at the tables outside.
I had the Folly Beach eggs Benedict. Shrimp and crab cakes replace the normal ham. Very good with a creamy hollandaise sauce. The egg yolks were just creamy enough to spread and viscous enough to stick to things. The sides were perfect though
Thick asparagus that was cooked all the way through. The fruit side was a mix of a piece of kiwi sitting on an orange center slice, strawberry, and Granny Smith apples. All were fresh, ripe, and easy to eat. It showed an attention to detail that went through the entire meal.
We shall return on Monday for $3 mason jar mimosas.
This Folly institution maintains a very cute, relaxed atmosphere, particularly on the outside patio, while managing an impressive volume of guests at brunch. The kitchen is quick and very consistent. It's clear that they've put some effort into the menu as it includes both regional flavor as well as classic semi casual fare.
Came here for breakfast. Very fast service and very polite staff. Food was enjoyed by all. Menu selection is very varied and something for everyone.
Dog friendly.
Cant recommend this place highly enough!
A feature of this place is the photos of dogs covering every wall.
It feels like it should be on the beach.
Some of the worst wait staff experience I’ve ever had. As someone who has been in the industry through high school and college the standard set after this last experience here was absolutely unacceptable. Our server who did not even give a name was extremely rude, argued with a member of our party about a special in which she clearly had no real knowledge about and continued to even roll her eyes in the process. Manager did not seem to give a genuine apology or plan of action or offer to make things right, simply said I hope you give us another chance. Will not be returning to Lost Dog which is sad because we tend to bring people here a lot from out of town and send people here as our family owns a rental on Folly. Really too bad that poor service is allowed to ruin a really good restaurant.
There will always be a wait, so plan on it. The casual, friendly atmosphere is so great. Took the children and the pup. Server was super friendly, as well as all the other dog loving patrons. We were told there was a 20 minute wait and to tell them when the rest of our party arrived. When we told them the rest of our party arrived, we were seated within 5 minutes. We did end up parking at the pier, because parking is pretty limited, especially 10 a.m. on a Sunday. EVERYTHING we had was delicious and gracious portions. Bloody Mary, Peach Bellinis, water bowl, doggie treats, she crab soup, cinnamon roll, corned beef hash, shrimp & grits, Folly Benedict, eggs Benedict, all came with fresh fruit. Most of us didn't eat again until evening.
This is a must visit place! My family vacations in the Charleston area once a year, and we always make sure to stop in at least once. The food and service are fantastic, and the atmosphere is fun! Parking can be a nightmare if they are busy, so be prepared to park on the street. It is well worth it though, because the food is phenomenal.
Great place for brunch!! Burrito is amazing & great atmosphere. The dog pictures that plaster the walls make this place even more unique. You can't go wrong stopping here. No wait to sit, but some wait for a larger group. Loved it!
First time in Charleston, first restaurant. Awesome service. Thank you Michael ! The Crab soup and Salmon salad were outstanding. Michael informed us of the half off happy hour specials - be sure to check it out. Oyster fans will love the 50% off deal beginning at 4pm. Also very grateful to have a "local" that takes the time to literally write out a list of recommendations of great culinary surprises.
Awesome local cafe. Great food. And the dogs are welcome outside, but please make sure they're well behaved. Saturday and Sunday morning in summer is crowded. Expect to wait. But, yeah, it's that good.
Food is awesome! If you're on folly this is a must eat place. The only problem is you can expect at least a 30 minute wait time to be seated. You can get a drink and sit outside while you wait though.
Food is good. Wait staff is terrible. We came on a Tuesday morning where there were ample tables and we were asked if our entire party was there because they typically do not seat until entire party is here. This wouldn't have been an issue however my grandmother was traveling with us who is 93 and handicapped. Not only did they come and ask us more than once when the remainder of the party was coming there is not a single handicapped parking space to accommodate. I understand their parking is limited however they should be accommodating to the disable community as well. Overall food is fantastic but wait stuff seems annoyed by your presence and impatient.
Best breakfast on folly. Super friendly staff and the food is delicious. Dog friendly. They open early and are super busy the later it gets.
Great food and fun atmosphere if you love dogs! People can bring their dogs on a leash to breakfast or lunch. We enjoyed the Keish and the coffee was great! We sat on the patio and watch the blackbirds, the dogs and enjoyed the sunshine. Employees were great! Excellent service!
