Pretty convenient you can buy what you need quickly and get things done faster if your plans are for cooking

I am sitting in the parking lot writing this. The very overweight gentleman who was working self check ou5 at 3:50 on 11/25/17 just very blatantly made it seem as though this older woman and her mid teens daughter were going to shoplift and it embarrassed me for them.
He not only very loudly told them they could go use register 5, when they politely thanked him and said they would rather do self checkout he made a point of going behind the counter and watching them check out. I could have stuffed my stuff in my bags without scanning them and he would have not seen that's how focused he was on them.
Perhaps he sees people try to steal all the time to that I will give him the benefit of the doubt on but this older womam and her daughter or granddaughter were innocently checking out AND the fact that it was so obvious to me that he had singled them put while I was on another register was unacceptable.
If it had been me I would have asked for manager and been extremely offended, but they just continued checking out with his judgy eyes glued to them and ignored it so good for them but to be honest I think it had something to do with their race honestly.
And I am a middle class white woman before anyone jumps on me for playing the race card.
Someone needs to teach this checker about A. Kindness, and B. Tact and how about C. Humanity.
He needs spoken to about the way that he portrays himself for sure.
I wanted to go apologize to these sweet people for his behavior but I quietly came to my car to write this review.
I didn't see his name but he had short short hair and was extremely overweight and again worked today right now on the self checkout I don't think it should be too hard for someone to figure out who he is and I hope this message gets to him.response / report this review -

Great place to go and get groceries without having to deal with the usual nuthouse that is just about any walmart supercenter.

I go to this Wal-Mart a lot and I was rushing here on my way home from work tonight and got up to the door it was 5 minutes till they close I was just going to get in buy a 2 liter and be on my way and I got up to the door and the lady said they were closed. I was in extreme disappointment hearing this no only will I have to waste my gas going farther out of my way I'll have to waste my time as well, I'm is very valued to me cause I have to be up early tomorrow.

I love this store, it is so much better than the Supercenters. It has actual people that work at checkout lanes and they are very friendly. It's also always fully stocked.

Full disclosure: not a fan of Walmart because they destroy small business and do their best not to pay taxes and don't treat their employees well, but i do shop there on RARE occasions because of its location. (Nobody is perfect). Unfortunately, in Wichita, it's Walmart or Krogerboth bad for the community. Go to Save-A-Lot or some locally owned place. It may mean paying a few extra cents, but it is worth it to keep the local businesses going.

This is a good Wal-Mart, it can be disorganized in the clothing and toys sections though. However, this is not entirely the employees' faults- someone has to mess it up in the first place. But overall, I've never felt unsafe here and I have always found what I need.

Good prices and a great place to grab something you need quickly. However, it's always crowded and I get frustrated that they don't sell several items that I can find at larger Wal-Mart's.
