Went to the Walker and had the coldest night. The heat never came on. After I called three times and told them we need to leave they sent the bellman to reset the thermostat. It was so cold we had to leave. We could not wait to be outside where it was warmer than the room. Don't stay here in the winter or spring or fall and probably the summer unless you have the thermostat checked when you come in. I guess that's typical for guests to ask for when they check in.

This hotel is not what it seems from the first impression. Nice lobby, nice staff, really nice beds and amazing shower pressure BUT. I get the impression that this place is either falling apart or poorly constructed from the start. In our group of 15 or so at least 3 people's AC didn't work and they couldn't or didn't fix it. Almost none of our internet logins worked and no one could fix it and the noise from room to room is horrible. I can hear my neighbor sneeze in their room and every door closing in the hallway will wake you up out of a dead sleep.

And don't fall for the coffee or tea in the lobby. It's not complimentary like every other hotel on earth and they won't say that at first. If I'm in NYC and paying hundreds of dollars per night I would expect all of these things to work And don't hit me up to pay for tea for Christ sake.

Nice hotel and the remake from Jaden has done them good. Still Lakshmi minibar which I think is a real bummer. Free wifi is a big plus! And it's nice and tidy. Friendly staff and cosy feeling at the hotel.

Amazingly clean rooms, great bar and restaurant downstairs. Very trendy location in the Flatiron District.

I had a fabulous time The Walker Hotel, primarily because of how excellent the staff is. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I have to give special commendation to Irvin, Keith and Danny, who went above and beyond. Our rooms weren’t ready on time due to unforeseen circumstances, and the staff bent over backwards to make it up to us. And this is high praise is not limited to strictly hotel staff. The kitchen and wait staff were also amazing, from late night requests to all around excellent service. I can’t give them enough credit for making my stay as enjoyable as possible. Regarding the hotel itself, the rooms are smaller than they look in the photos, but from what I hear they are par for the course for NYC, but if you’re into cozy this is the spot for you. Other than that, the water pressure was AH-MAZING, and the beds while small (I was sharing, and it was a full size, where I’m used to a king) they were very comfortable. I was in town for a bachelorette weekend, otherwise I would normally stay with Friends. But if I find myself in need for a hotel in NYC in the future, I’ll definitely be checking the availability at The Walker.

Love the boutique feel and vintage art deco aesthetic. Rotary phones accompany blue tooth stereos. The rooms are quiet and clean and higher floors have amazing views. An onsite restaurant and posh gym complement the standard hotel amenities. The service is what keeps you coming back though. Anyone complaining about room size hasn't stayed in many hotels in New York as these are downright elegant compared to many offerings. Some rooms have private terraces and balconies.

Really nice hotel, reminds me a bit of the Ace. I stayed there for nearly two weeks while in New York for work. I received an email from the concierge within about 15 min of checking in, which was a nice touch. The bed was really soft/comfortable, but I can imagine it might be too soft for some. I couldn't quite sort out the AC unit so the room was always a bit too warm, but opening the window seemed to help. No coffee maker in the room in case that's a deal breaker for you. Otherwise lovely hotel with great service!

Very cute, comfortable and boutique hotel located in a very continent location. Super easy access to subway. I wish they had a fridge in the room though.

The shower had the best water pressure I have ever had in a hotel.
Great hotel on Long Island! Viana is a great place to stay when you're out here! Thotel and spa is a great place to spend some time away from home! Doing one of the packages is the best!

Walker Hotel is a gorgeous modern hotel with lots of heart and smarts. The attached restaurant (Social Cafe) serves delicious meals throughout the day and is staffed with talented and attentive employees. Every Walker employee was ready to help and ensure we had an enjoyable stay during the weekend. While the room was smaller than expected, it had an amazing view of the city and a fantastic bathroom. We'd definitely stay here again in the future!

You'll think you are getting into 1930 building, but it is only 4 years old so cozy and even small room has almost every thing, if you need coffee maker, they can provide for you. Dinning at hotel is must!! Young chef will make great dishes with local ingredients.
