Hotel was older but clean. Air conditioning was awesome. Great views and a great location. It would have been nice to know that they were doing construction in the room right next to ours starting at 9 a.m. Sunday morning. Grr otherwise a great experience
The first room was dated, run down, and very dirty. The room was non-smoking, but smelled strongly like a smoking room. The toilet seat lid was held open with a piece of Velcro because the toilet was installed too far under the counter. I was very disappointed considering this was supposed to be a fairly nice motel.
We talked to the front desk, and it turned out they mistakenly gave us a pet room. They moved us to a regular room free of charge. The new room was very nice with none of the problems the first room had. As other reviewers have stated, my only complaint is the sugar ants that seem to be everywhere.
It was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rates were good. We were very pleased.
Attended a training class held here. The facility felt a bit dated, but was clean and usable. Good bathrooms and a nice lobby, and the staff were friendly as well. Overall a good experience
Booked on a Thursday for getaway weekend for the wife and I with my PayPal business card arrived on Saturday only to be told they do not accept cards not backed by a bank. Front desk attendant was a young rough looking kid with a passive aggressive attitude. I tried explaining my card was a business debit card directly linked to my business charge account. After meeting his aggression with my own was told I can call someone with a credit card to book 3rd party for me. Ridiculous I should have been told over the phone they had no problem taking the card for reservation. Room had ants crawling over the computer desk, remote to tv did not work properly, coffee maker did not work properly. Hot tub water drain did not stop the water so had to refill every couple minutes. I had a better visit my first time when it was tarpon springs resort. Would not be back. Thanks for the crappy experience.
Location for this hotel is great! 19 takes some getting used to driving on though. The staff was great and helpful. Our coffee maker was defective, and they brought me a replacement only after I complained twice. The condition on the inside is not so great. The balcony was completely flooded the entire time, and even cause carpet to be damp near door. The flooding was due to the AC condensation that was green! The toilet was weird to use because of the counter over top of the back of it. It sat at a weird angle. The rooms were very clean, but the outside corridors and steps were lined with piles of rat droppings!!! There were traps set everywhere too. The "free" breakfast was 1 choice off the menu, and anything over that you pay the difference. Food wasn't bad, but they shouldn't advertise it as free. I must say though, the bed was one of the most comfortable ones I ever slept in. So if you are looking for a cheap, convenient place to lay your head you have found it.
Vista hotel is the best value along with excellent amenities, bkfst, lunch and dinner partial comps included with room in the steakhouse below! Great food for the comp, tip well!
There is a boat club located within the hotel, we had a blast exploring the lake and having a great picnic at Anderson park. Have a great time you won't be disappointed, I promise.
.one may need to be a member to use the boats however I am in for talking Bill into working with you.
Hope u have fun!
The environment is nice. The back porch over look a cozy view of lake Tarpon. Extensive drink combinations. The menu has a wide selection of seafood and steak options. Overall welcoming experience.
Excellent service. Rooms were super clean and comfy. The view from our room was awesome! It was quiet and peaceful. The price for what we got was excellent as well. We will definitely be coming back.
The room was beautiful and clean, the view was amazing overlooking the lake and the pool and the staff was very nice and accommodating. We loved our stay at the Vista Hotel and will definitely be staying again in the future. We could not have asked for a better weekend in Tarpon Springs.
Nice first impression but don't let it fool you. We stayed on the third floor and there were ants in the bathroom. The kid came up and sprayed them so there were dead ants all over the counter. Also, the ant spray got all over our toothbrushes so we had to get new ones at 10:30 at night. Housekeeping got cleaning chemicals all over my girlfriends makeup. Talked to the front desk and said they would get back to us, which they didn't. Told to talk to manger the next day, he'll be there 3-11. Went to talk to him at 7 and were told "he just left". I would not recommend this place. The breakfast is good and the beds are huge and extremely comfortable but that's about the only good part. Not worth the $400 we paid to stay here.
The room was clean, that is the only good thing at this hotel. The door to our room would not lock / stay closed unless you slammed it and we still had to check because it would still open if you pushed on it. I was told that happens when the temperature drops when I notified the staff. Nothing was done to remedy the situation.
The restaurant was closed down permanently even though it is still listed on their website.
The entire building looked old and run down. The reservation was booked online and if there wasn't a Bowl Game for football in town, causing everything to be booked, I wouldn't have stayed.
