Heather is unpleasant and unprofessional to be around.
There is no excuse for being bipolar and yelling at a guest, despite having a 2 year old in her off time.
She clearly isn’t taking the time to take care of herself and it shows, being so impatient.
Her hours should be cut—for everyone’s sanity—so she can take care of herself.
There were no eggs and certainly no bacon at breakfast, which made the experience certainly sub par.
Everything else was more or less as expected from the La Quinta brand.
There is a Holiday Inn by the Airport but I chose this location thinking it would be quieter.
That certainly wasn’t the case.

Good hotel for the price. Rooms were comfy, with central air and heat. Carpet in the halls need serious updating. Will stay there again.

I just spent 2 days at this hotel and I must say that I am very satisfied. The place was clean, my bed was very comfortable, staff very courteous and willing to help. Megan, the front desk lady always had a smile on her face and gave me directions. Breakfast included with everything one needed. Location is excellent, near the marina and a short drive to the beautiful Saint Armand's. A pleasant stay, plan to return.

I booked this hotel for a last minute getaway to Sarasota and siesta key. So I didn't expect the best. But this was just not acceptable. What I paid for was worth maybe $50 not $111. The elevator wasn't working. The stairwell was gross. There was leaks or something so the stairs were gross and covered in water. There was construction on two levels of the hotel. Then we get to our room and the toilet isn't working. Neither is the phone. So. We had to walk back down stairs to explain to them all of this. They moved us into the room next door. And it seemed okay. Nothing broken. However the towels were not clean. One towel seemed to have dried throw up on it. And they just folded it so well to hide it. I know la Quinta hotels are not top quality but this is just not okay. And staff wasn't helpful or friendly on top of it. Don't stay here. Pay the extra money to actually get a decent place to stay.

This place borders the wrong side of downtown Sarasota. We checked in after 1am on a Saturday. The doors were locked so the front desk clerk buzzed us in. We walked in to the back entrance, I immediately noticed how dirty the floors were. There was also a large amount of visible dirt under the vending machines.
Apparently the hotel is under going remodeling. Many of the rooms had a blue tape square outside the door. We assumed those rooms were being fixed up. The hallway floors were dirty. Our room foyer floor was sticky. The AC air smelled like urine, but it seemed to go awat after 10 min or we just got used to it. In the morning as I was using the restroom, a roach crawled toward me. There was also banging noise from hotel construction. As we left our room we could see in to some of the rooms that were marked with blue tape, as they were being fixed up.
There were not enough servicing utensils at the breakfast bar, so I had to use my fork to get a bagel. A few housekeeping staff were just standing around on their phones.
The staff do not take pride in the place. We saw another roach as we left out the back entrance. We booked the room for 3 nights but did not want to stay. Thankfully the supervisor did not charge us for the night. Would not recommend this place.response / report this review -

For the price ($90), it all makes sense. The staff was very nice, and everything was very clean. Everything else was sub-par. No fresh coffee. Breakfast was Not breakfast. I would stay again, but would plan accordingly.

The facility was less than desirable. I walked in the lobby and the place reeks of some indefinable odor. It was raining out so I decided to stay. My room had ants all over the night stand table and the room smelled awful. I spoke with the front desk and I requested a new room. The new room did not have insects, but it smelled equally bad. The facility is dirty. There was no hot water to bathe. Worst experience. The reason I give it 1 star is because the front desk staff was very cordial and helpful as best they could. I had reservations for two nights, I only stayed the one night. I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed at La Quinta to check out Siesta Keys. The room was really nice and clean for bring a hotel thst allows dogs. It's in a pretty decent location with a good amount of places being within driving distance. The staff is also extremely friendly.

This place was wonderful! Nice staff, great breakfast. The bed and pillows were very nice and comfortable. And we'll worth the money.. would differently stay Here again. Very clean!!

The rooms are nice and clean. So is the lobby and the corridors. The staff can be a little bit friendlier. Housekeeping was very nice. Way overpriced. Location is central and close to downtown. It's right on the edge of North Tamiami, so it can be a little rough. All in all, it's a nice hotel, but it has its downsides.

I have a 13 yr old 3 pound dog, so I am very picky about where I stay. I keep the do not disturb sign on the door because she doesn't do well with strangers. The room door opens inside, which is best in the event of an accident. Every staff member I encountered was friendly. The room was pretty clean, and I liked the ocean sound on the TV with the view of a moon over the ocean. The bed and pillows were very cozy. The few issues we had, when we told them at check out, they comped us a night. I was very pleased, not all places will extend this courtesy anymore when you have an issue. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.
