A wonderful place to stay with beautiful mountin views. Feels like your Stepping back in time when you stay there. The feel of history is all around you. The dinning is a good experience also.

This was a good place to stay and an exceptional value for the money. The rooms are a little warm, but that is what you would expect from a hotel with this history. Very clean and a beautiful Lobby. The bed and pillows we're kind of uncomfortable, so bring your own pillow. Of course that's always good advice when you travel. The restaurant was good for dinner. The Groupon rate apparently included two free drinks, but nobody ever told me about that. I was here for a different reason, but I could see this being a perfect stop for a motorcycle trip through the area. The roads surrounding the hotel are exceptional for a ride. The price is right for a group to stay and enjoy themselves in the restaurant and bar.

As far as a hotel experience goes, this is moreso a novelty. It's missing some features many of us have grown accustomed to in hotels, and that is the entire point. It's historical, like the land around it. A lovely experience. Items missing from rooms would be a fridge/microwave (both available in hall), alarm clock, and a (digital) thermostat. Vastly makes up for it in the history you won't get elsewhere.

Reserved a balcony room, when we checked in we told none available and that the two rooms were same price even though website says different, asked to speak to a manager and was told he wouldn't be in until Monday, asked reception to call him anyway and he was at the desk in five minutes. He took care of us and we got the room we reserved. Everything was great after that.

Relatively clean rooms. Service and wait staff was attentive, friendly and pleasant. Food plentiful and very cost friendly. We are very picky travelers. We would stay again. A little more attention could have been paid when cleaning the room prior to our arrival but overall it was a good stay.

A good hotel. The rooms were good and the staff were friendly enough. The hotel has some nice history in the halls and lobby. Nicely decorated. The one issue that prevents 5 stars is the back of the hotel. There is parking and many rooms have windows to the back, so it can easily be unavoidable. The back is in terrible shape and really detracts from the whole experience when it's right out your window.

Over all the stay was nice, the breakfast was excellent, and the interior is very nice.

I left this experience wondering if there is southern hospitality in Virginia. This hotel is run by someone who knows there is a captive audience. The lobby coffee ran dry, it took 10 minutes for a replacement and it was cold We were then tricked into ordering the buffet for breakfast no menus were given to us when we sat down .. nobody hardly smiled or offered any extra niceties.. they all looked miserable.. . except for the lovely bartender..who made a kickass Cosmo. .

This is hotel is historical building. So expect an old historical brick look. There were some stairs were cracked from the frontal view. Service was great except but I would say they have false advertising about the deep soaking tub they are advertising for. Its just a regular small tub like the ones we have at home not what I expect it and when I call the reception they told me that there are 2 kinds of rooms this deep soaking room or the other room with no tub, btw for this reason I paid more for this hotel in the first place when I booked it online. Reception service is great, also the place was very clean too. The room was very cold when I entered it have really good central air conditioning even though it was a very hot day outside I got give them a credit for that. All the rooms are smoke free. Every floor have a washer , a dryer and a microwave. Over all it was a great hotel.

Loved visiting Natural Bridge! I'm from the area and had only visited as a school field trip before. I didn't know about the walk to the epic waterfall along the falling streams. Very relaxing and tranquil, easy walking, epic views. So much to enjoy and totally worth it.

This hotel is old and shabby. Stayed in the veranda annex. No electric outlets in bathrooms. Toilet seat falling off, dirt in corners. Good location. Staff is pleasant and evening buffet okay.

Recently went here for an overnight getaway with my husband and we loved it! The hotel itself is beautiful. We loved seeing the bridge and going to the caverns. They had an all you can eat italian buffet and it was delicious! The only complaint I do have is the staff at reception could have been a little more polite and the tv could be updated, but other than that, we still had a great time. We will definitely be back!

We came here for our 5th anniversary. We paid 204 dollars for the surf and turf package which was buffet for 2, a main room, and breakfast for 2. We ended up in the veranda room. The TV was from the 90s, the shower was a single tall shower which had a broken water heater and there were no extra linens available. The bathroom was also missing a trashcan for feminine products.
The staff was friendly when they were available but it was very hard to get someone on the phone or at the front desk. They need to higher at least three more wait staff to keep up with demand, their workers were obviously drastically over worked, it took thirty minutes for a single soda refill.
The surf and turf buffet apparently should be renamed snow crab buffet. The tri-tip was cold and very rare not medium rare, the scallops were not seasoned at all, the salad options were very good but I didn't come there for salad. The dessert selection was very large but horrible tasting, the cheesecake cupcakes were mealy. The only dessert that wasn't dried out was the apple cobbler and only because it was warmed.
I wouldn't recommend this stay to anyone especially for the price. They should advertise and give prices equal to a budget inn, or drastically increase their hospitality and service.
