Nice rooms and continental breakfast, although the breakfast could include more fresh fruit (there were only a few apples). Love that there is no pet fee! Good, affordable option for an overnight stay.

Nice staff. A budget motel for a quick stopover. Bed was hard but room was clean.

The place is clean, quiet and comfortable enough for a one night stopover. It's pet friendly. The breakfast is what you would expect for the price.

We stayed in this hotel a few months ago, but I'm doing a new review because it seems to have changed quite a bit. First of all, the two employees I saw (late night guy at check in and woman servicing the breakfast area the next morning) were not friendly at all. I barely got a hello in the AM and that was after she passed me 3 times. Skip the breakfast area. It was bad. Bananas were all brown. Bread looked stale. The room smelled really bad, too. Like cats. The carpeting on the 2nd floor was badly stained. (See my posted photos.) At least the room was clean. If it wasn't, then I would have given this place one star. It's changed enough that the next time we're passing through, we'll find another hotel.
My review from 3 month previous: Hotel lobby is very nice and looks pretty new. Rooms, in the other hand, are in serious need of a remodel. Very old furniture, carpeting. On the plus side in our King room, there was a nice TV, good fridge with a small freezer, small but very clean microwave. Really annoying, but they only had decaf coffee for the coffee maker. (That's definitely a training issue.) I always like my first cup in my room and not having to get dressed to go downstairs.) Bed was comfortable. Pillows seemed new and firm. Tanya at the front desk could not have been nicer! Free breakfast was incredibly lame. Don't even bother. Overall, I can't give this Red Roof location anything better than a 3 star. But that being said, I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm coming through the area. Excellent rate for a clean room.

We go to redroof inn because it is dog friendly and very nice. The complementary breakfast left something to be desired but those types of breakfasts usually do. Tl;Dr Clean, dog friendly, great halfway place

Great service and location. Not the greatest accomadations but also better than most. The bathroom is tiny and the smell of cigarettes smoke is strong even in the non smoking room section.

Very nice, clean hotel, no bugs and all the amenities that you would expect from a basic hotel This was my second time staying here on my way from NYC to Nashville. We checked in very late and the gentleman at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. He gave us two free bottles of water and then I asked him if there was anywhere that I could buy some milk for our toddler and he said that they didn't have any for sale but that he could bring me a cup of milk, which he did. This was very helpful to us and greatly appreciated!

I must say this Red Roof Inn outside appearance is just beautiful The entrance area is well maintained and clean As well as the rest of the building inside & outside.
Our room was clean, it smelled fresh Which is a plus due to this location didn't have hardwood floors. The front desk clerk {night shift} was helpful and friendly She was ozzing with joy Her personality was a ray of sunshine with big smiles EVEN AFTER MIDNIGHT..
***Attn owners: a pay raise would be great for her***
    She spoke highly of you
Overall my husband and myself, our stay was pleasant
Anyone looking for a place to stay for the night or couple days
    I strongly recommend this hotel
I'm sure you will enjoy your stay

My room was nice by Red Roof standards. However the elevator sounded like it was on its last breath. Kind of worrisome. Grounds were neat. Front desk staff was congenial & very helpful. Construction workers made a lot of racket going up and down the stairs next to our room until about 12:30. FWIW

It was fine for one night. The room was clean and the bed was just ok. The continental breakfast wasn't very good, but it got us back on the road quickly.

Quick overnight stop in Troutville. Checked into the Red Roof In and was very pleased. The decor is a little dated but it was very clean and the personel were very pleasant. Complimentary breakfast was nice and the location was all of 1 minute from the exitramp.

Very nice. Employees polite and friendly, clean. Good location off the highway. Restaurants nearby. We travel with dogs and plenty of areas to walk dogs.

We booked this hotel because it was the cheapest we could find so our poor experience was not surprising. There were several dead and live stink bugs all over the room and bug guts smeared on the ceiling. One light was out, the heater vent was cracked, and the lights flickered. The good side is the sheets and bed were clean and comfortable and that's the most important part of a hotel so we slept okay. The staff was friendly too. They also provide a simple continental breakfast and there is coffee in the rooms. Overall, the hotel reflects the price.
