  Fantastic hosts! Amazing breakfast. Way generous on allergy considerations with gluten free treats and breakfast.
  
  Great beds! Internet great, creek in back not to be overlooked and the Goshen pass. Have dinner at the Grismill and make a reservation. Fireplace in house was nice and one outside as well. Sandra is the best! We miss her and Jeff already.
  
  Wonderful alternative to everything else!

  Hosts Jeff and Sandra are lovely people who know a lot about the area. The breakfasts' are delicious: the first morning we had fresh fruit, spinach and tomato frittata, and local sausage; and the second morning we had eggs Benedict, orange French toast (with home made orange drizzle), and local bacon.

  Second time staying at Humminbird Inn and it was wonderful. The room we stayed in was recently updated, the bed was comfy and so were the robes. The new owners were extremely nice and went above and beyond our expectations. We will absolutely be back and recommend this for a quiet getaway in the beautiful mountains of Virginia.

  My husband and I have stayed at the HI three times and every stay seems to be better than the last. While the previous owners, Dan & Patty Harrison, have moved on, we look forward to our next stay with the new owners. The rooms are very comfortable and relaxing. The sheets and bath robes are luxurious, and the breakfast is delicious. The rooms have lots of small touches like Sirius XM radio, fireplaces, and more. The property is large enough to explore and the drive into Lexington is only about 20 or 30 minutes.

  This was my first time at a B&B, and it was a great place. Everything was very nice, and I have nothing that I could complain about. The train passing by was a nice touch, only a couple passed during the duration of our visit so it was enough to add to the experience without becoming annoying. I'm a very light sleeper, so I would have woken up had they continued all night.
  
  Stayed in the Franklin room, very nice whirlpool tub & shower.

  We loved this inn. It was cozy, comfortable, and we had a great time even though we got the last snowstorm of winter last year. We still use the lotions that we were given as part of our gift basket, and we still think of the breakfast we had while there! Even though we were there during a snowstorm, the kind and generous innkeepers gave us plenty to do. We went to the Shakespeare theater, saw a show, and went to the Split Banana and got a great ice cream. The town was such a sweet and simple town to walk around in, and though we didn't get to hike, I'm told the hiking there is amazing. One day, we'll return and see for ourselves :)
  
  Also- there's an amazing family room where you can watch movies and play games.

  This place was fantastic. The owners felt like family and it was one of the greatest places I've stayed it - wonderful hospitality and a very warm, rustic, but very well put together Inn. Breakfasts were amazing and the atmosphere was extremely relaxing. It was a memorable stay, and it was fun playing board games at night after a long day of hiking and enjoying a complimentary warm beverage with snacks. The room was beautiful (I had a first floor room), and the amenities were top-notch. With my package I got a wonderful Hummingbird Inn gift bag with lovely picnic food (which I very much appreciated when I didnt have time to grab lunch because I was too busy enjoying the area) and spa gifts. I still use my souvenir hand-made mug I purchased at the inn and use at work daily to remind myself to take a breathe and relax. The only minor downside was the very close proximity of the train, but after a night I didn't notice it as much and I still was able to sleep well through the night. Overall, a fantastic stay!
