We had a reservation but had to wait for half an hour at least. The hostess said a table is being cleared for us however they let 2 groups of people before us. I’m not saying anything but make your own conclusions - we were only Asian guests in that restaurant. At long last we were seated; ordered and we’ve waited for more than an hour for our entrees to be served! I’m not even saying about that the server would skip our table “forgetting” to fill our water glasses.
I had the tiramisu - worst I’ve had in my life. Not exaggerating. It was a block.. not even soft. I didn’t taste any liquor or coffee. 6 of us ate there; only 1 liked his food at all. This place is terrible - avoid.
Beautiful place for a special occasion. We were celebrating our anniversary and our waiter was really kind to surprise us with a desert at the end of our meal. Food we had was great. Great place for a nice dinner - special celebration.
A little overpriced for the money. Took my team out to dinner and the food was good, but now great, like the price would suggest.
Nice ambiance. I liked brick archways and columns inside the restaurant, tall ceilings and open floor plan. In the evening it's a more intimate setting thanks to the restaurant lighting: there are no big bright lights overhead, but rather soft spotlights for each of the tables and candles.
They have rack of lamb to die for. The meat was cooked perfectly, melting in your mouth. It was accompanied with shiitake mashed potatoes, green beans and yummy raspberry sauce. So good you want to lick the plate after you done :)
Scallops appetizer was delicious too. Again, perfectly cooked, with soft center and caramelized on top.
I was disappointed a bit with mussels. The white wine, cream and garlic sauce was very good, but the mussels itself weren't so fresh.
I also did not care so much for valet parking only.
Overall I liked the place quite a lot and will come back again. Have to explore their dessert options!
Good for a slightly nicer lunch - not fast and not cheap, but tasty enough when you want a nice work lunch.
There is waiter service, and these waiters know their stuff - the specials, the ingredients, and how to be helpful without being too obvious.
The food is good, with everything made in-house. The first time I visited, I had the fish special over greens. The fish was perfectly cooked and the greens were fresh and paired well with the fish. Next time, I had the grilled lamb sandwich with caramelized onions and peppers, dijon, arugula, and arugula on the side. Also a great choice.
They bring a fresh bread assortment and a plate with olive oil and pepper.
Other than the slower pace, the other thing that detracts from more visits is the fact that it always seems to be freezing! Makes lunch slightly less enjoyable.
Don't expect meatballs & marinara sauce. This is an upscale, rustic Italian eatery. A bit pricey, but the chicken parmigiano is excellent. Looking for a good steak; this place has a pretty good filet w/ potato cake served with tossed spinach. The spinach was slightly wilted and seasoned to perfection. Beautiful restaurant and perfect for date night.
While I am used to having an excellent time at Vinny's, this past experience has deterred me from ever going back. Our server's name was Gwen. Food took awhile to come out, and while I know that's not the server's fault, he at least could have been more accommodating. Instead he was rude, inappropriate, making jokes that made both my husband and I uncomfortable, and just generally unprofessional and a bad server (i.e. Didn't greet us for at least 15 minutes, took another 10 for him to come back around and take our order, and then he brought us the wrong food after it had taken more than 30 minutes We were so hungry we ended up eating it anyways) As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for many years, I was baffled by this man's service, and frankly am too off put by him to want to go back.
Fantastic food and awesome service. Definitely coming back next time we're in town to sample the rest of the menu.
The beef carpaccio is incredible. The fried capers make it really pop!
My wife and I went there for Valentine's day and right from the start we were treated poorly. They all acted like they didn't want us there. We complained about how our waiter treated us and we got a insincere apology from a manager. We ended up getting our food to go and leaving.
We had booked our table through open table and we were not credited for being there.
It looked like a total let down for our Valentine's day.
But we recovered and made it good by going to a Mexican restaurant that was way better food and less than a quarter of the cost. With superior service. Never going back to Vinnys.
Good food but slow service. It looks more upscale from the outside than it is. Did is simple but good quality.
We went to Vinny's last night and had a great time. The service was very good and the food was also very good. I had the pizza and my wife had the lasagna. The lasagna had a good flavor and hit the spot. It was not cheap at $20+ for just the lasagna but if you can get over the price the meals were just right.
Had a very pleasant evening. my wife and I sat at the bar and had two bartender's that were very helpful. We started with the scallops that were some of the best I've ever had. My wife had the chicken scarpariello and I had gnocchi and veal the dishes were great, I highly recommend the gnocchi and veal. We capped off the meal with the mousse. Wonderful place highly recommend
