I was expecting better food with the high ratings I saw online, but the location was convenient, there's plenty of seating, and altogether a MUCH cheaper spot to grab lunch than most places in the area. I found my meal surprisingly bland and overly cheesy, so if I go again I'll make a point of looking for something spicy and flavorful.

The food and service was great! The first thing you might think is that the further you get from the ethnic origins of a place, the more of a poor facsimile the food will be. Well not so here. This is as good as Texmex gets and it's in DC! La Loma is spanish for the hill and that's where it's at.

The food here is awesome! The specials were excellent! Even chicken was well done! Chips and salsa with our entree. Good service, but a skimpy wine selection with no free refills on soda.

Service is great, I wish the salsa and the food were better. It's almost impossible to find really good Mexican food in DC. There are a few upscale places, but then you are getting a different sort vibe, price point, and cuisine.

Friendly place, well integrated with the neighborhood. Most of the menu is the classic Mexican options, but they're good at what they do. I recommend the tamales and margaritas.

Had a blackened chicken salad that took over a half hour. The salad was filled with iceberg lettuce and the salad was watery. No bueno

This is a no frills, enjoyable spot. Margaritas are great and it's a fun place to relax on a warmer evening. Popular with Hill staff especially for lunch
