My husband and I were looking for a Gulfstream Vintage camper (17 RD) and after a horrible experience in our home state at a dealer, we found Vicars on-line with a great deal.
Sandy Vicars was thorough and helpful all the way through. Got paperwork right away, and when we got there everything was just as promised price, equipment, and winterizing as well.
The walk-through was great, and we got a thorough training on the weight distribution and anti-sway systems. There was no pressure to buy more than we needed.
We are extremely happy with the whole experience. We'd do it again!
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. They remember what service is supposed to be like!
The 3.0/5 is low for a reason. The reviews are bad for reasons , other then buyers remorse . Buyer beware , just make 100% sure you've shopped around to find the best deal! They promise low price , but our trailer went from 18k to 22k with minimal explanation. Within 28 hr of getting our purchase agreement I found the same trailer for $2500 CHEAPER. And we felt SO much better going with Lakeshore RV then vicars after reading all of the reviews. The owner did try to reach out and offer us a better deal but it was only afer saying we'd found it 2500$ cheaper and we're willing to drive 3 hr instead of going throug Vicar. We are getting the same trailer , w a back up camera and 7yr warranty , and still saving around 500$ . Imagine that.
So be sure to shop around and go over your purchase agreement very carefully !
Purchased a pop-up from here. The pop-up itself is horrible quality (Not the dealers fault). However, we paid to have it winterized so it wouldn't affect our warranty. They had it just shy of 8 weeks before they finally got to it. In addition, when we opened it up this year, the canvas was torn, the bench for the dinette was broken, and the 'o-ring' for the water heater was not put back on (so water spewed everywhere when we hooked it back up). When we called about it, we were basically told it was already there and we didn't notice it, and it couldn't possibly be their employees fault. On top of all of this we had purchased the extra warranty. The hole in the canvas was an 'L' shape approximately 2"x2.5" on the side wall, I'm pretty sure we would have noticed it, had it already existed. After several minutes of going back and forth, we were told we'd be given a patch kit for the canvas, but as far as the bench was concerned we should just reinforce it and move the screws because that's all the would do for us anyhow. We had to remind them, several times, that our canvas was allegedly covered under our extended warranty. After more going back and forth they agreed to replace that section of canvas but wouldn't be able to do it for several weeks. Take caution if you plan to do business with this establishment. Very disappointed.
awesome, the sales men didn't give me a sales pitch or try to sell be something bigger that I didn't need ! went to general RV dat before Chris tried to sell me something I didn't want ,didn't want to help as much because I wasn't buying anything and he brought his boss over like that was supposed to make be buy some thing? get the F outta here with that!
plus at Vicars, the prices was a lot better !
What a joke!!!! Saw the camper I wanted to buy on there website. Walked in and was ignored by staff for about 5 mins. Finally tracked down a sales rep no handshake or introduction just took me to the camper and said he would be right back. I waited for about 10 mins after I was done looking at the camper and the rep never returned. That is the first and last time I will go there. I guess sometimes even if you are the only customer in the store you are not always the most important.

By far the best experience you'll have in the camping industry. I purchased the Rockwood ESP 1910 the memories we have already made are priceless and we cannot wait to make more. I will without a doubt be back :)
As we are looking to buy our first family TT, we have been to all the major players in the Metro area. Vicars staff made us feel right at home. The biggest upside here is we are unsure of exactly what we want and all the employees have been great and very patient. Very low pressure and the Vicars team is more concerned to ensure we choose the right trailer for our family and not to put us into an impulse buy. Shout out to Gary and Justin, hope you liked our spreadsheet!
All of the staff treated me very well. This dealership has been family owned for over 50 years and that truly stands out to me. I received an extremely good deal on a camper I purchased from Vicars. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in camping.
Vicars was amazing when my parents bought their Camper Travel Trailer at the end of June. Justin and Chris were very thorough and explained in detail how to maintain the camper. My parents were able to get a 2017 Cherokee for the price of a 2016. Their prices were lower then other places. We are very grateful for the staff at Vicars!
Thanks for everything!
