Brought my wife's 2001 Camry in for service after another service dealer could not fix the problem. Mike and his crew fixed the vehicle properly and professionally and the cost was not too exorbitant. I plan on using Vandelay Motors anytime I have a car problem.

Awesome mechanic and human being. I have two vehicles and Mike has been my mechanic since moving to North Carolina. I’ve always cringed dealing with mechanics because as a woman, it is common to be overcharged, but Mike is always honest and when you look at the bill, the labor charges are always super reasonable. Ruth is always pleasant to deal with, and if she says she is going to call you back, she does. If you’re relocating to Wilmington, I highly recommend choosing Vandelay.

These people went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. They were skeptical about pricing for a part from local Wilmington Toyota ($2000) and chose to call another dealership. Toyota in Raleigh had the part to them within 2 days for $60!! These guys are efficient and precise. I do not think you will find much better anywhere.
Oh, there was a small glitch with something unrelated to fixing my car. They really wanted to make it right so, the cost of my cab ride was deducted from the bill!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great service and very reasonable rates. The Office manager was pleasant and accommodating. All the technicians were extremely professional and had my vehicle repaired and completed in a timely manner. Service rates were lower than expected. Will return for all future automotive repairs.

My car had some water damage from the recent floods, so I had it towed to Vandelay Motors. Their location, “in-house” towing, and towing fee were convenient and they seemed like the right choice. After tinkering around with the car by removing the spark plugs and doing a compression test they concluded that the car must need a new engine. They stated that I must have sucked some water into the engine and it probably wasn’t worth any further investigation and quoted me at about $2000. I decided to get a second opinion before investing over $2000. Turns out the car just needed a diagnostic, air filter, and oil change, a little under $300!! I’m glad I invested more time to “further investigate” instead of investing my money into a new engine. If it weren’t for Vandelay Motors kindly refunding all my money and offering an oil change in the future, I would have given 1 star. However, I still wouldn’t recommend going to this mechanic. If you do, get a second opinion.
