I have had such a bad experience everytime I need to call the bookstore. They act like you're stupid. I have an experience with west campus at the beginning of the semester and now I've called the east campus and it was the same situation. I just called asking if they had a book, I had the course name, the book name and the author name. clearly enough information. I was told it wasn't enough information and that I would be more helpful if I logged into my account while on the phone and searched the book #.. am I the one working in the bookstore?

This school is extremely helpful when it comes to getting your education and giving you advice on what steps to take. There is always tutoring available, the counselors are always friendly and willing to help you and for how cheap this place is, the education is fantastic. Only thing I don't like is that when coming into the school you can waste your time taking general education courses as they dont really tell you that they have specific programs. I've been here two years and have two more semesters until I'll have prerequisites for the program I want and that's because I wasn't advised on what math classes would be helpful in getting an actual degree.

As a parent it's alarming how little is done about the traffic and parking at this campus. I've been hit 4 times, reported well over a dozen people doing the most insane things (60 mph in a parking lot, driving over grass through students, etc), called the administration (with ZERO response from anyone ever- in 3 years) and phyiscally walked up to "security" to ask them to speak to people.

They do NOTHING. Not a single thing. The administration is difficult to finally reach. The one assistant I spoke with had a horrible attitude nad zero phone skills. I mean it's a college right?

We listened to her teachers who advised to stay away from Full Sail for art but this campus has been, uh a huge freaking challenge too.

Can't f******* call the damn school for a simple question..

    "Is the bookstore open?"
    "Is the library open?"

Would I really have to drive 30 minutes just to confirm these questions myself or what?

Mark Williams is incredible! I took every humanities class he taught even when I didn't need them. The school is great. Went there for a couple years and had only 1 "security threat". There are a couple terrible teachers though. They will act like the class is all fun and games for the first week or two and after u pass add/drop week totally transform into an anal prick and assign ridiculous amounts of HW. Which personally I don't mind learning. For some students this could cause issues. Math I took Marjorie Karwowski - very much enjoyed her class. Speech class 1 and 2 I took Courtney Lewis. Don't be fooled by the name he's a short chubby homosexual African American male. He was outstanding, never will I have issues with public speaking again. Overall the ability to transfer ur credits are great and the school was on point in helping me get enrolled and finish the program. Even though I didn't take film, I acted in a movie where their film students came out and shot some scenes with us. They were great! Teachers really cared. I could tell and I'm a terrible actor. Cheapness does not dilute the quality of the education. Oh yeah and Patricia Smith for science classes. Gotta love her!!

Great stepping stone for ucf. Scholarships are available as well as on campus employment for those who qualify. There are activities and events students can participate in. Make use of advisors and professors. However, keep in mind that most students are fresh high school graduates.

The wifi is terrible. Don't go here if you aspire to be successful in life. As a person who actually takes college seriously, I honestly feel disrespected by how terrible this school is to its students. It is so bad, I do not understand how they can make people pay to go to school here. I honestly feel like I should be paid to go here, it is literally that bad.

This campus, and Valencia College in general, has changed my life! I've grown so much as a person, a professional, and an active citizen from my experiences here at Valencia. So very thankful for this college and everyone who makes this possible. Join Valencia, get involved, set high goals, and you will find ways to make them come true. Believe in yourself.
