Its a decent place to stay. With Clean room a nice pool and located right down the street from the mall.

The hotel has lush palm trees through out the property. Beautiful green lush grass and a pool and jacuzzi. They offer complementary breakfast that consist of french bake goods ,Breakfast cereals,coffee,tea and juice.The hotel is centrally located near the 5 and 54 freeway If you're military it's close to the base .They offer military discounts only. . There is restaurants nearby ,Walmart, and the chula vista center on H street .

The hotel was very old, alot of weird people around. I did not feel safe at all. The AC did not cool the room enough, part of it because it is right behind a closet wall. We only had one already used roll of toilet paper for an adult and 2 kids it did not last and only 2 towels. Had to hunt down cleaning ladies to obtain
items needed. I would have rather stayed at a
motel 6. I had to leave a day early and was still charged for full price. I can understand a cancellation fee but full price? Not recommending this place at all.response / report this review -

Motel standard rooms so they smell musty and of smoke. The breakfast is not very good. Some guests are very rude and loud, fighting and screaming in the parking lot at 2am waking us up, some even live here. The walks are very thin so you can hear your neighbors..
The room has a tv, microwave, fridge, desk and a table with two chairs. It's not very clean but the maid S are generous with the towels.
The pools are nice though. We paid 300 dollars and I don't think we got what we paid for, honestly.response / report this review -

Needed a last minute hotel to stay in and chose the Vagabond Inn. The night time clerk was extremely helpful. The beds were comfy and the room was a nice size. The price was was great too!

I'm gonna get right to my dislike from our stayed here last night. It didn't bother me that it was very daited nor the lingering smell, a quick trip to store for candle helped.
My issue was the paper thin walls we heard the baby in the room next door cry most of the night, But on top of that we can hear the blasting music from a bar, club coming from building next door till early morning then around 6am. People were standing in front of our door chatting & smoking it felt like they were in our room. Needless to say I didn't sleep at all.
The housekeeping could be better,
Walls were dirty,
Spiders and cobwebs in corners (should be removed),
The clock was not set to time (no big deal) Our phone did work.
Water pressure was horrible,
The A/C did cool the room but it had a mold smell.
They also have an ant issue.
The mini refrigerator freezer was covered in ice not able to use it.
The pillows are flimsy I had to double them up to make one.
I did love the palm trees but that's it.
The pictures are not the best but I wasn't excited to take good quality pictures in which I regret because they would of help anyone wanting to stay here.response / report this review -

There was black mold on the bath tub, walls were dirty, and 5 spiders in the bathroom. The staff was very friendly but the building is poorly maintained.

Grounds have a resort feel. The palm trees a lovely addition. Housekeeping always wanting to help and front desk will find you any place. You want to go!

I recently booked a 2 night stay here. Just this past (2/17 - 2/18) weekend. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. My second night stay the bathroom toilet didn't work, my Husband had to go down to the office and get a plunger and plunge the Toilet the guy at the front told my husband that they have problems with the toilet in that room #112. The next morning I went to flush it and the water started rising. Mind you I paid $237.00 for both nights. They don't have to ever worry about me staying there EVER Again!!! I came all the way from Fresno Ca.
