I have been taking my pet here for a little over a year now and I love the customer service here. Furthermore, the vets and technicians are very knowledgeable and kind. They also have an insurance program thats affordable called the care club

We had to euthanize our beloved dog Sampson on March 14th. The compassion from the entire staff was amazing. A few days ago we received a card in the mail signed by everyone with personal notes. In time, when the pain is less severe, and we choose to adopt another dog, I will bring it to them for all of his vet needs. Thank you so much!

Can't be happier with the treatment we receive here. Our birds are treated as royalty practically. We have had one of our pets pass away with them, and they were willing to go the extra mile to do what they could to comfort us, going as far as to call just to check with us and ask us how we were feeling. Our current birds go in for frequent check ups, and they even see the staff as family and will be friendly with them. When the pets accept, so do we.

The people who work here are amazing compassionate individuals. We had a great experience here with our Chihuahua Charlie who was diagnosed with the Parvo virus. They called and checked up on our dog and we highly recommend them. Thank you so much Anderson Animal Hospital!!

This is a wonderful veterinary clinic. My son got home from his night shift ER job and his husky Leo was pretty sick. We called this clinic because it was closest and they got him right in on a Saturday morning. Everyone from the front office staff, to the tech, to the doctor were just great. They explained everything we could do and what it would cost. My son decided to hold off on the blood work and they were super nice about it, ends up the “sample” we brought gave them enough information for a diagnosis. He’s back home now and feeling much better. Thanks to the staff for getting us in so quick and being so kind. Oh and the prices were very reasonable!! We will definitely make this our Vet.

Dr. Schoonmaker is AMAZING! I was so worried with just moving here from Oregon I wouldn't find a bird vet since they're so rare to find. Not only did we stumble upon her but she takes such good care and concern for our two birdie babies, Blaze and Summer. She gets down on your level making sure you are knowledgeable about what's going on with your pet. She makes suggestions as to what might be good for your pet but never forces anything on you or pressure you to pay for unnecessary tests. She makes sure the pet is comfortable with her and their surroundings before rushing to a diagnosis. She's truly a gem and we can't thank her enough for joining the VCA Anderson team.
    Love, The Andersons

I booked an appointment for my 12 week old puppies on the AKC Vet Certificate for a first visit. We arrived a little early since puppies are unpredictable with travel. We'd filled out the paperwork and had been in the office for 6-7 minutes. A couple came in with a German Shepherd and were kind with the puppies. Then a lady came in with two small dogs ON a FLEXI LEADS that were barking, jumping, lunging and OUT OF CONTROL. They went after my pups and were within inches of them after the pups had FEARFULLY BACKED INTO A CORNER. There was no concern on the part of the staff to protect other clients or correct or intervene with this VERY INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR upon entering a clinic where what is beyond the door is unknown. I asked for my certificates back and I left the facility disgusted. There is no sign asking clients to control their animals and no one bothered to correct the woman. Why is it always LITTLE DOGS AND THEIR OWNERS BEHAVE SO VERY BADLY AROUND OTHERS? I would make this a zero star if the category existed. The front office needs training. I cannot speak for the doctors or personnel in the back.

The worst. Take your animals here only if you want them to have more severe problems like blindness or worse. Open your checkbook too. Run they bad!!!

Everyone there is A+++ EXCELLENT!!! They treat your family member(s) [aka - fur-babies &/or 4-legged son/daughter(s)] like they are their very ownEXTRA-special!! And that means the world to us!! If we ever need a safe place to board our baby-girl, VCA is where she'll stay EVERY time!! We love all of the doc's & the tech's, everyone there is top notch!! They've helped us navigate through some tough health issues w/our baby-girl & helped us nurse her back to better health, so for that alone, they ROCK BIG TIME!!1 Can't say enough great things about them!!! We owe them big time!!

Staff was very understanding when I had to bring in one of my rescue dogs who has high anxiety at vet visits. the tec and doctor were willing to discuss and find a solution with me to get him the care he needed w the proper sedation to relax him and not cause him more anxiety. Staff always tells you what the cost of a procedure will be and gives you options so there will be no surprises when it comes time to pay. They seem to care . So far I've had only positive experiences there. Also, I got a complimentary bath/nail trim for my black lab Blue, with his first visit there. That was great as I'm on a budget and care for 5 rescue dogs so any free services are appreciated!😊 thanks, VCA Anderson Pet Hospital.

There are previous reviews clouded with angry emotion towards their experience at VCA Anderson, so I am going to balance them out with my own very positive and emotional life-altering experience with this hospital.
I will forever hold the staff at VCA Anderson dear to my heart. If not for Dr. Rachel Savoy, DVM and the team of compassionate, understanding, and very accommodating staff at the hospital I doubt we would have made if through this past four weeks of prep, surgical removal and recovery. Brought my pup, Kalani, in July 8 to check a mass on the right side of her head that grew in just five weeks from the size of a small pea to the size of an apricot. A biopsy via aspiration had to be sent to an outside lab but was very quickly returned and on July 12 she was given the diagnosis of Mast Cell Tumor. The estimates provided to us were accurate as possible, as was thorough explanation of treatment plan and addressing all of my personal concerns and questions both in person and via phone/email. An outside specialist was brought in to remove the tumor based on location making removal with clean margins a daunting task that also required removal of her ear flap, nerves to her face and salivary glands. Post surgery, Dr. Savoy has checked in with me many times to ensure Kalani is comfortable and that her recovery is going well. She has offered advice and referrals to oncologists for further treatment of Kalani's cancer. She is the kind of vet you want taking care of you dog when as a parent you are no longer able to. We are eternally grateful to Dr. Savoy, the vet techs, the front office staff and all the loving, caring people at VCA Anderson who make the care of both the pet in need and the owner a top priority.

Additionally, it made me very happy to see that this hospital is overseen by three women as lead DVM's and staffed almost entirely by women. My niece wants to grow up to be a vet and when I told her about Dr. Savoy and the women at this hospital, her eyes lit up with excitement and empowerment that she can do her part to change the lives of animals and their owners the way VCA Anderson did for Kalani and I.

Thank you, Everyone at VCA for loving Kalani and giving her the care she deserved. You are all the kind of people making the world a better place to be and have been a shining light for Kalani and I to help us during this difficult time.

Had a great experience at VCA Lakewood!

Compassionate, friendly, polite and understanding of my situation.

Dr Liana Lutz was professional, informative and helpful beyond the duty of her job. You can tell this clinic loves animals, and cares about the people who bring them in.

To the staff of the animal hospital - thank you for helping my dog, Bella. I cannot say how appreciative I am for your kindness and caring!

Anyone in need of pet care or information should check this clinic out.

Just recently switched to this clinic for all of my pets, as I had a great experience bringing my bird here in December. The facility is clean and feels relaxed, unlike some clinics I've been to where it's chaotic and stressful, and everyone has been really warm and friendly. I don't feel rushed when I ask questions, I feel listened to and heard, and I believe my pets are getting quality care here. One of my cats needed a dental cleaning/extractions, and while this isn't the cheapest place around, it's also not the most expensive. The vet called me during the procedure to let me know what was going on, what she found in my cat's mouth, and got my "okay" to proceed, which I really appreciated. I was given detailed instructions about aftercare, and they made sure I didn't leave confused or with unanswered questions. Any time I've called or emailed with a question or concern, I've received a prompt and thorough response, and I believe that everyone I've interacted with at Anderson genuinely cares about animals. They are gentle and kindto both my animals, and me! I don't dread going to this clinic, which is new for me. It's been nothing but pleasant experiences so far, which will keep me coming back time after time. Keep up the great work!

I honestly wouldn't even put one star. But anyways I took my baby k9 here, and they said that they had to drain her bump under her skin. They wanted to charge about 600-800 dollars. I said okay fine. Can you guys make sure that's the only bump she has. They said of course we'll take care of her. They also gave her shots for stuff that wasn't due till another six months. Which of course charged me for something I didn't know they were going to proceed. After so two weeks later she had another bump! I took her in and they said they have to do the same thing, same cost! I was furious, not only did they not check her entire body, but they will charge me again, when they didn't do they're job all at once! I got angry and took my k9 to planned pet hood and they said she doesn't need a drainage she just needs to drink her medication and intake a lot of nutrients from food and water to fight off her infection. And so to sum it up. VCA Anderson a profit clinic/hospital Is the worse beyond worse! Not only did they cut my baby girl for no reason, gave her extra vaccines that wasn't due, didn't take care of her correctly, also provided unnecessary treatments. All for money. I'm fine with paying to make her feel better, but not when they're going to keep torturing her over and over when it should have been taken care of all at once. Do not I repeat do not come here. There paper works are also very unorganized. My pup got her vaccines and on documents that they return to me shows "overdue" when I just got them done the day before.
