Yes the food, decor, and service are all excellent, but the real Up-Town is on Friday nights. The only night the Up-Town is normally open is Friday's. The food is always great, but on Friday's Jason and his team have live music. Gourps come form all over the Esat coast and play in Victoria on Friday nights. I have enjoyed groups ranging from Worm Patterson and All Problems with country and pop songs from the 60's and 70', to Home Grown Bluegrass with, you quest it, bluegress, to Pop Warner and the blues. The last Friday in each month is reserved for gospel music with a lots of great bands and singers. My wife and I make our "date night" Fridays just so we can be at the Up-Town. It is a family resturant so bring the kids. I'll see you at the Up-Town on FRIDAY NIGHT'S.

This place was much more than I expected from a small town cafe. The hospitality from the staff was very welcome and something reminiscent from the Deep South. The menu choices are incredible and offer something for everyone. I had an Apple Grilled Chicken salad with their own homemade apple vinegar based dressing and it was delicious. The interior was really neat and ranged from a big screen tv with sofa seating to a long bar with stools and of course the standard table and booth layout. They even have a separate back room for large private gatherings or for overflow seating. Regardless of what you are looking for, this place will not disappoint. I will be returning.
