Best place for hot ramen soup on a cold day. Broth so good you want to swim in the bowl
Delicious and authentic ramen. Grwat beer selection and a good selection of Japanese whiskey. Cool urban vibe. You won't be disappointed.
Wow. Great Raman. Best I've ever had. Steamed buns are exceptional too.
Great service and awesome decor. Ordered the Belly of the Beast Ramen and added veggies as an extra. There must be a mistake, because I got A LOT of toppings. The veggies they gave were different types of mushrooms, asparagus, and several others. I somehow received two whole eggs and 6 pieces of brisket. I've always finish ramen, but I met my defeat. Minus one star, because the soup was a little lacking in taste and noodle was too soft for me. Still would recommend it and next time I'll try the Underbelly Ramen minus extra toppings.
Underbelly touched my belly unlike any other ramen I've had in a while. I got the underbelly staple and my goodness the broth was met with premium cuts of pork. I can't wait to return as the beer on draft was also fabulous.
I love underbelly! This location is perfect for me to take out. Staff is super friendly and answers all your questions.
Unexpectedly delicious. I had come expecting ordinary ramen, but got an awesome bowl full of meat, dumplings, and more. The broth was also amazing.
Underbelly has excellent ramen. It's hearty, tasty fare with good drink options and a low key crowd. It's always busy but it's also always a quick bite to eat. They do a good job keeping people moving. The crowd is really mixed here. The last time I ate here there were naval officers, grad students, older businessmen, young and old couples. I would not recommend it for large groups. They have good bao and pretty excellent noodles. They also serve a variety of craft brews from around the world. Their Belgian beer selection is short but top notch.
Good food. Reasonable prices indoor and outdoor seating. Good service. Seating can be a little limited but staff were very efficient and quick
Amazing food, creative cocktails, cool building and atmosphere. Went on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded, but my group was still able to order and get seats next to each other quickly. I'm going to make a point of going here more often!
2 times I went to this location the experience was horrible the food is great however some of the staff particularly the ones in the front should be fired. First time I came here to pick up food I asked the guy nicely how long he says 20 minutes so I waited in the car for 30 minutes went back in hi is food ready no not yet he says I ask do u know how long I don't know it's not ready when it's ready the bag will be here idk how long waited 45 minutes for my food . Went there last night called in my order again 5_17_2017 I order beast of the ramen my favorite usually I go to north park they are quicker nicer and more professional he said 20 minutes went in food was done I was happy I pay leave 3.00 tip I say to whom I found out was the manager can I please have a fork he responds we don't have to go forks I respond well I just paid you for my food and I need a fork to eat it with he tells me 7-11 has forks now I'm mad u want me to go to 7_11 to get a fork to eat my food I ask another going lady can she give Me a real fork she said she couldn't and they have been telling the manager / asking him to get to go forks I told him I was gonna report his business to the bbb he said OK and started talking to someone I will never go here again most unprofessional
"Underbelly, a palatable dining experience for ramen lovers in a quaint setting amongst Little Italy's Italian themed restaurant's"
"top notch food and customer service your meal and drink order placed before being seated."
-Try the "belly of the beast", great dish for ramen and meat lovers alike.
"ask for seating in the balcony to make dining experience a little exclusive for spouse and/or close friends"
Great food and good service. You can create your own ramen by adding or omitting anything you want. The tacos/buns are really good as well.
It is undoubtedly one of the best ramen bowls I've had in San Diego. The bacon wrapped mushrooms are out of this world. The to go packaging keeps noodles separate so they are not soggy when you get home.
Food was pretty good (I'm a picky vegetarian and it just didn't do it for me). But my friends love the regular ramen here. Had to wait in line for a while to get in. Not sure how I feel about the atmosphere, kind of cool and modern I guess but not my taste.
