After our booking company showed our Honeymoon flights to be 1/4 arrival and 1/13 departure I was happy to book this B&B for both ends of our travel. It has since come to my attention that our Flight actually departs on 1/12 which is the same date I had booked a room for our ending stay at this hotel. I was advised by my booking agent that all they needed to issue a refund to me for my $250 was a waiver from the B&B considering we are still 30 days away from the stay.
Kelly at Two Sandals decided to decline to issue a waiver and open that room up for a new booking customer. I am not only very displeased that the B&B is charging the full cost even though we are still staying on 1/4. If we were going to ACTUALLY BE ON THE ISLAND 1/12 I would have no problem keeping the reservation. However, at this point based on the HORRIBLE customer service we have received from Kelly I am not looking forward to our honeymoon trip knowing that we are being forced to give the B&B an extra $250 for a room that will not be used since we will be on a flight. In my multiple trips to the Virgin Islands this is the first time I have ever received this type of service from a property manager and will definitely not be using them for any of our future trips.
Needless to say I am also not looking forward to staying here on 1/4 knowing what kind of people run this B&B.
5 stars no question. Great value, great hosts, clean comfortable rooms and common area. The porch and view along with breakfast and/or evening drinks is wonderful.
My fiance and I had a great week there this past Christmas! Helen is a very nice host and a great cook. Breakfast was very good and healthy. Sitting on their porch overlooking the harbor was very nice. Room was very comfortable and clean. Overall we loved it and we would recommend it, and stay there again.
Up front, this is an excellent value with B&B charm and personal touches. If you are expecting a hotel, then you should book a hotel and spend twice as much. Here are some details. Our flight arrived at 9:00 PM and we only stayed at the B&B one night prior to heading to St John. Jun (the owner with his wife Helen) met us at the airport just as planned. I highly recommend this pick up service since it only cost $40 for the two of us and we did not have to worry about finding the B&B in the middle of the night. Jun offers $2 rum drinks! I wish I took advantage of that since the rest of the island charges you at least $8. For anyone who values money, the B&B is a wise choice. We stayed in the Malibu room. The king size bed was comfortable and the AC was a great benefit since we came from Arizona and are not used to humidity. We slept like babies. The bathroom is basic and has a little window to vent the shower humidity and for fresh air. The included breakfast was WONDERFUL and Helen made it herself. We each had an almond and chocolate chip muffin, hard boiled egg, yogurt/granola mix, and orange juice, coffee, and tea. It tasted great. We had breakfast on our balcony looking out over Red Hook. The next morning, we walked to Secret Harbor beach (about 2 minutes away), then packed our suit cases, and then checked out. Helen held our suitcases at the B&B while we walked to Red Hook (about 10 minutes and don't drag your wheeled suitcase) to catch a 3:00 PM ferry. Helen then delivered the suitcases to Red Hook (right on schedule) for a $5 fee. Everything at the B&B was extremely reasonable and I felt we got more than our money's worth. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to enjoy the B&B too much since we were just transiting through to St John. I wish we would have known better and stayed a little bit longer. Thanks Jun and Helen. I wish your a great journey.
