Lovely staff, very kind to us and they will loan you anything you need to make you're trip better. They provide dry boxes and dry bags and they're really high quality. Definitely a great place for large groups

Went tubing and enjoyed the day. Was a nice little float and for $20 they let you go twice. Love have they go the extra mile with wet boxes/bags for no extra charge.

Nice people that work here. I was just sitting here taking a break from the Appalachian Trail. Enjoying the atmosphere. One of the staff members was nice enough to give me a ride back to the trail. I also learned that it's an excellent place for aquablazing.

This was my first time using this outfitter. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and knowledgable. We rented one canoe and one kayak, and both boats were in very good shape. Their shop is well stocked with the necessities of canoeing and kayaking. We did an overnight trip from Eagle Rock and paddled down river to Buchanan, Virginia . On this very scenic 22-mile trip, we spent one night in their private campground. The primitive campground was very clean, with a portable toilet. The staff also had plenty of wood for our campfire, and they had 5 liters of water waiting for us at this site. However, the campground is on a narrow strip of land between the James River and Virginia Route 43, so you do hear the traffic during the night. I would highly recommend this company.

Great outfitter on the James River. We have done the 3 day and 4 day canoe trips starting at iron gate. Excellent customer service, the equipment is in good shape, everything was good!
