Sarge's Dive Shop is a very friendly business and the service was excellent.
They had the lowest prices on brandname gear that I have ever seen for
a full-service dive facility. The charter was on a 32 foot x 10 ft. pontoon boat that was well maintained. They charged $40 per diver for a two tank dive. The rental gear was also $40 per full-set per day. The diving was fantastic! I could not believe that there was a freshwater lake in this country with water so clear. The day we went diving the vis was approx. 25 feet down to a depth of about 60 feet. At 100 feet the vis was approx. 12 feet and then it opened up to approx. 35 ft. vis at a depth of 125 ft. I didn't go any deeper. There are huge boulders, rocks, and steep cliffs down to a depth of about 100'. The surface temp. in July was about 85 deg. The thermocline at 50 feet was about 72 deg. We wore wetsuits. The dive sites require a boat or their charter service because the best sites are about a mile fromt he dive shop. We have been diving with Sarge's for more than 10 years now.
