It the best place to be during the summer month, very friendly ppl!!!
Great bathrooms. Private showers. Wonderful hiking/horseback riding trails. On a little lake great for kayaking and swimming and fishing. Good proximity to national Lakeshore and Traverse City.
Very nice family owned and operated. Nice size lots . very clean bathrooms and hot showers.
Amazing campground. Reasonable rates ( less than state park was for us) grass sites nice playground, great beach area, clean and updated bathrooms
This little campground is great! We were able to get two sites next to each other to camp with friends, and we only called to reserve about three weeks in advance. The lake was awesome for adults and kids! The beach had great sand and there was plenty of space for picnics! We loved that we were able to have atv's there as well. It was just a quick drive to get to the hustle and bustle of Traverse City. We were already planning our trip back for next year! The one thing we would have liked to be different was the consistency of the camp store/ office hours. We were told that they close any where between 7-9 and sometimes earlier, depending on the day. One night we wanted to get a few sodas and rode our bikes down expecting it to be open until 9 on a Saturday only to find it had closed. So we had to pack in the car and drive about 5 miles down to the gas station. Offering other things, such as ice cream would be great additional as well!
pricey but for good reason, high end camp ground made for mostly rv camping yet we tent camp every year and love it!!!!! clean, new restrooms serviced daily And sometimes twice daily. hot, free roomy showers. canoe rentals for the lake it's attached to, great private beach and respectable community and seasonal locals. we love this place because it's one of the best around out of the 4 campgrounds I've been to in the area and almost everything major is 25 minutes or less away with plenty to do in a 15 minute radius. highly recommended
Very clean facilities. Family oriented campground with lots to do for everyone in the family. They offer a playground, fishing, on-site water and electric, boat rental and a on site laundromat.
We've stayed here several times and never had a bad experience. The sites (even the brand new ones) are still wooded, large, and fairly level. We love the events here and the location to the nearby national lakeshore and coastal cities.
Good family campground. Small lake and kid friendly beach. Easy access and plenty of full service campsites. In the northern Michigan woods. Close to Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore and Traverse City. Seasonal rental available, but 90% is short term. We go here and love it.
We had a great stay at turtle lake last summer. I am a real fan of the location, it is very quiet but still close to a many fun places to visit.
Husband and I started coming here in 2005. Then once our 2 son's were born we started bringing them. So many family memories made here. Very centrally located to Traverse City and Lake Michigan. Had a blast. Hayrides were fun. Very Nice and updatedshower house. Probably one of the nicest campground shower houses we have seen. Owners are VERY friendly and helpful.
