Delicious tapas and unusual combinations make this a great choice. Tipping is included in the menu prices, with a modest admin fee added. Lovely and lively place.

Patio is perfection. Vegetarian Paella not to be missed. Last but not least chickpea fritters to die for. Let's the keep the story short, come get a bottle of wine, and enjoy life. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This is my favorite place around the Boston area! Extremely friendly staff, it felt like we walked in to someone's living room and we got very well taken care of during the whole stay. Excellent food, great selection of beers and cocktails. After dinner, we took our beers and went back to the book & record store. Can't wait to go back again!

Let me start by saying I am Spanish. This place has a good ambiance, and the food is a kind of americanized version of some Spanish dishes (a lot of sauces everywhere). Spanish food does not rely that much on sauces, the food itself is tasty. That being said I have to say that the sauces were good though, I tried the octopus and the shrimps, but the sauces did not match well with the dishes (at least to my personal taste). So the most disappointing part in this place is not the food itself, but the low amount of food served for what you pay ($16 for 4 shrimps! $18 for a tiny piece of octopus! $9 for 10 thin slices of chorizo!). You add 2 beers, the taxes, tips and a fee they charge you to raise the salary of the cooks and it makes a total of $70. Also, the amount of tapas in the menu is quite short and not spectacular. If you plan on calling this place a Spanish restaurant, at least you should have a decent selection of basic Spanish tapas. Making your own version of tapas is not a bad idea and I appreciate it, but I would recommend the owners of Tres gatos to spend a couple of weeks in Spain.

Amazing authentic tapas, creative drinks, and great vibe. I especially love that they have a combo book/record store in the back, and they're willing to play your favorites while you eat. Book ahead, this place is small. If you're a tortilla (Spanish omelette) lover, this is the best one you'll find outside Spain.

Constantly creative, their execution seems to get better every time I visit. I've had many dishes here that are just off the charts, from sausage pancakes at brunch to vibrantly flavorful beets to bone marrow. Excellent bar as well. Easily one of my favorite spots.

Been there a number of times for the food and excellent!! But I'm posting cuz I just went to the Music and Book spot for the first time and ended up staying 30 minutes just talking music to the guy. Great space!

Excellent food! Everything we had was awesome, except the bone marrow which was surprisingly mundane. The food took a bit long to come, but overall a good experience.

Yummy! I think the menu changes seasonally, but the lentil dish and veggie paella were both great! They made eggplant good somehow!

Cozy atmosphere in a converted home, friendly staff, and a book/record shop the back make this a fun outing. Reservations highly recommended

Very cozy inviting space, creative menu with many options for all. The food is very high quality, beautifully presented, and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive but not intrusive. This would be a great place for a romantic dinner, catching up with an old friend, or just when you want to treat yourself! We were too full for dessert. Favorites were the salami plate with homemade pickles, the salted cod croquettes, and the roasted shishito peppers with harissa. Highly recommend!
