Had a triathlon coming up and needed maintenance done on my bike plus a couple of extra purchases that would make my life a little easier. Staff was extremely helpful and the guys who tuned up my bike were knowledgeable, friendly, and quick with turnaround. I got my bike back way ahead of the promised time frame and in noticeably better condition than I left it.
Fantastic support, wonderful customer service.
Do NOT take their words of "promised" and expected delivery time. We have recently ordered two bikes, a month apart, from the Trek West store and both of them did not come in on-time. They do not follow-up letting you know. Bad customer service from this aspect. Nice people but not much business skills and consideration of deadlines. Their service department is outstanding though!
Talked to some tall kid in there, very knowledgeable and friendly! 10/10
Very unhelpful staff, knows nothing about bike and cares nothing about customer. Also very limited choice in store, consider go to their website first.
Purchased my daughter's bike here and later the bike was stolen. Trek helped me recover the bike by providing support and most importantly the serial number that was needed as proof the bike was truly ours! Thank you for your awesome record keeping Trek! A picture of the ad I found in Craigslist 8 months after the bike was stolen. The thief was prosecuted by police.
Had the exact piece of hardware I needed for my Trek handle bars and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable.
Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, very competitive pricing and fast turnaround. My husband and I went in, test rode, they did safety check as we looked at accessories and we were out of there in 45 minutes. Which is more than I can say about some of the other local bike shops. Also, nice clean storefront. Very happy customer!
Unique approach to customer service. In the store and looked at clothes, shoes, helmets, bike racks, saddles, and even a couple bikes. Browsed for almost 20 minutes. Zero interaction from employees. No greeting, offer to help, or acknowledgment when I finally left. Dude at front desk was pretty busy surfing the web tho I had money to spend but I guess they don't need it.
My husband and I bought our bikes here on separate occasions, and both times we were assisted by a friendly person who may not have been an expert, but certainly knew enough to steer us in the right direction. There wasn't a lot of pressure to buy a flashier model or tons of extras, although they do push the helmets. I'm OK with that, though.
They really do their level best to make sure the bike you're buying is right for you. They'll even do minor adjustments to your bike free of charge to ensure it's a good fit. (For example, I bought a men's bike and they narrowed the handlebars to fit me.)
I'm really happy with both our bikes, and will definitely return to this store when I'm ready to upgrade.
I broke the pedal off of our stationary bike at home and had called another local bike repair place first and received poor customer service. When I called Trek, not only did they know the repair process I was asking about right away, but offered to help me figure out what size tools to order if I brought the pedal in.
When I went in, rather than order a $40 set of tools, one of their staffers lent me theirs and kindly explained that the pedals on the bike were on the wrong sides. With this new info, I was able to get the pedals screwed into their right places without even using the tools.
Furthermore, when I returned the tools, the repair folks remembered me and offered a further, low-cost fix if the pedals became wobbly.
In short, they gave me a great deal of friendly/knowledgeable service, free advice and free tool loaning. The next time I ever need to purchase parts, I will definitely go to Trek on Mineral Point.
