Really nice farmers market for all your shopping needs. They have great produce deli pumpkins etc. Fun place to take kids of all ages.

Fun games for kids. Some free, some $. Tons of pumpkins to choose from and the kids love climbing on them.

A one-time beautiful operation that has gone overboard with commercialization.
The market side of the business is wonderful. Fresh fruits, veggies grown right on the farm and sold at a very fair price. You can't get any more fresh than this.
The shop side of the business, however, offers very high priced arts and crafts. Seasonal sections provide substantial options from classic fall to cheesy Halloween. But they also had their Christmas section up and running (on September 17th), just a bit too early for my tastes.
Trax is well known and loved in the area. In a few short weeks, they will kick off their fall festival, which is when you'll need to park a mile away just to get in. Great place to take your kids - crafts, hay rides, food vendors and pumpkins galore.
The market side holds up the three stars of this review. The shop side, IMHO, makes it seem like a craft store run amuck. Others may not agree with me, but it just came off feeling like big business trying to imitate a farm.response / report this review -

I visit Trax often, because I love the personal information and intelligence of the employees. Plus it is so open and airy you really can relax! They have such a fantastic variety of products, I easily could spend most of day there, and LOVE IT! Plus DQ and Subway are just down the road. And there is the Wagner Pink House too!!!! TALK ABOUT A MAKING A DAY OF IT!

Nice little excursion for the kids in the fall. We head to the pumpkin patch during the week because on the weekends its like a carnival there. (Not a bad thing, just easier on the weekdays). Although on the weekdays there are less things to do. The market has some great items as well.

Trax Farms is an excellent weekend diversion. The tractor rides are great, the corn maze during Halloween is also good fun. There is always a lot to do, a lot to see, and a lot to purchase. It's great to just walk around and browse stuff, get samples of apple cider (during the season), Apple butter, coffees, crackers, cookies, and so on. There are always a lot of plants and flowers to look at and buy. There are only a few complaints about Trax. First is they've become very commercial over the years. While yes this is still a large working farm, this is also a business, and it becomes more of a business with each passing year. Which in a way is sad. The other complaint are the prices. As the transition to business from farm has progressed, so have the prices. Some aren't too unreasonable.others.wow. Giant cookies for 1.49 or 1.99 is not bad at all. A juice pack for 2.00 is over the top. Some of the cookies for 4.99 or 5.99 for less than a dozen..ouch. They're definitely raking it in on a cost per unit basis.
That aside, it's still a great place to visit and I would highly recommend it. Just remember to bring your wallet. :)response / report this review -

Trax Farms is one of my favorite places to go to during the Fall season! This year I heard about their "Hoppin' Hayrides" on Wednesday's in October and it was one of the best Fall activities I have done so far! We taste tested a few seasonal beers, grabbed our own six pack, enjoyed a ride on the tractor, got lost in the corn maze, picked out our pumpkins, and sat around a bonfire! I'm definitely making this activity a Fall tradition every year.

We are at Trax Farms now, where my kids have been waiting almost 2 hours to get their faces painted. It's not like we could get out of line, because we had to pay for tickets that were clear over in another field. If we left now, we'd be out $10. We won't come back here again if something as simple as face painting can't be coordinated better where they can't have more than one face painter when the line is 50 deep is crazy to me. But, they have 6 people over in the ticket booth making sure they get the money for it. Not worth the hour drive. My kids both are sitting on the ground with their heads down that's their memory of Trax Farms
