Easy to schedule online. My guy was on time and very communicative with all that would be done and what was needed. THANKS FOR WASHING THE CAR! A SUPER bonus!
BEWARE ESL CUSTOMERS
Wow the fact that this place has 4 stars astonishes me. My review has to do with services rather than sales. Their service department skins over important payment information with ESL customers and show a strong pattern of disrespect with their customers. When you have 3 or 4 employees be disrespectful to you and the 1 good employee even tell you how rude the other employees speak to you speaks volume.
So what did they do? Well my mom went to go get her oil change and told me how she wanted to get her brakes checked. Now Brendon, the guy who did her service, told her she would be paying only for the oil change and had her sign the forms. So of course my mother was going to sign it if Brendon tells her she will only pay for her oil change. But once she told me the price they were charging her double the amount for a regular oil change.
So I go with her to figure this out and the cashier Julie has an attitude from the start. I ask her simple questions like the average price of an oil change. Then she calls over Mike Montgomery, the assistant manager of service and parts, to figure this out.
Now as I’m talking to Mike it’s clear this man has no type of social skills. We talk things over with Mike and off the bat he’s already giving us a pissy attitude about how he can’t do anything and we need to talk to Davey Dave about this but Dave is coming back in 30 minutes. Whatever. I’m willing to wait. But I’m voicing my concern to Mike but he acts like a tool and tells me “Are you listening to me” as his chins jiggle in fury. He walks away like a brat and I make sure he gives me his name before he leaves.
Eventually we get help from another cashier since Julie, the other cashier, is resolving another issue. Side note: Every customer I saw that was dealing with the employees had an issue that came about due to employee incompetence. The cashier lets us in on an open secret about Davey Dave, the service manager, he’s the grandson of the owner. Dave doesn’t just disrespect his customers but his employees as well from what this cashier told me. When an employee tells you how rude her superiors are, that’s a red flag.
My guess, these guys take advantage of customers who have little knowledge of what their doing with their car and also take advantage of ESL customers. Julie gave us an attitude, Mike acted like a brat, and apparently Davey Dave can get away with teaching his employees this disrespectful service and even do it himself since his grand pappy will let him get away with it. And this was just service, imagine how skeeving their sales department really is.
Don’t come to Toyota Glendora, go to Longo Toyota or hell go to a Ford or Honda dealership instead. Don’t deal with folks like Mike or Dave if they are just going to be openly disrespectful to the customers that come in with simple concerns and even be disrespectful to their own employees. And finally, don’t let these other reviews fool you, Toyota Glendora is a family business but the family is the family in the neighborhood that makes loud noises and get mad at you if you tell them to turn it down.
So thanks Mike for being a tool, you gave me a glimpse to the kind of shady dealerships youhear about on TV.
Edit: So turns out if you call out Davey Dave for being a spoiled brat who treats customers and employees with constant disrespect the response from the owner is suddenly indifferent to the review. Good stuff.
Fast and Easy check-in. Everybody deals honestly and directly.
Very nice waiting area.
Excellent Reps and finance managers They got me the APR i wanted for the CAR i wanted.. Scott Hicks is pretty amazing Guy..Thanks
I had a great experience. Bryan Speck is who you want to ask for. He is not the typical pushy salesman. I told him the payment amount I can handle and he got me into a brand new car and I was coming in looking for a used vehicle. Fernando in finance was a God send. He was able to get me the extras and my payment only increased by $2 and saved me over 9k in interest. These guys will take care of you.
Great car buying experience. Armando Puyolt really knows what he's talking about. Any questions I had he answered them. Great customer service from all the staff here at Toyota of Glendora! Thanks again guys! Can't wait to surprise my wife!
What a great car buying experience. Wow, that sounded so rehearsed! I walked into the lot, after doing my own research and knowing approximately what I wanted to spend, and what I wanted to buy. Scott Hicks didn't show me anything I couldn't afford, didn't walk me past any cars I wasn't interested in. He showed me the car I wanted, and just that easy he sold me the car. He was up front about all of the taxes and fees. The manager even matched an online deal, that I didn't even know about. I love the honesty of the place. There are even pretty followers in the lobby! Scott is my new car guy! I can't wait to drive my new baby everyday for the next 10+ years!!!
First time buying a car and it was a great experience! I didn't have any experience buying a car and they helped me getting set up. Jon Hernandez was very warm and welcoming and helped me get into just the car I needed!
Completely relaxed, zero-pressure buying experience. I looked at cars online for a bit, then called Toyota of Glendora and spoke with sales person Julia Zarate. I asked for $1000 off of the online price, and she said she'd check with her manager. She texted me back (at my request, texting was greatly appreciated) and agreed to the price. I came in a few hours later and there was never a single moment of pressure or up-sell. Everything was easy, painless, straightforward, pleasant. It was my first dealership interaction but completely the opposite of what I'd been expecting. Highly recommend working with these folks and Julia Zarate was especially helpful, honest, and expeditious.
Relax and friendly experience. Price and service are the best in the market. I will spread the word and will return for more. Thank you to Elcer Hernandez. He made our purchasing experience really easy and fast.
BEWARE OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
I took my truck for a brake inspection because I had heard metal to metal, the service gentleman said front where 50% and 40% rear. Which was absolutely wrong, and I let him know that I had looked at it already, he said they will check it out again. He advised me that the drivers side rear brake was metal to metal and that it would not be under warranty. I thought ok maybe he just has the info wrong, but it was on the invoice.
It was the passenger rear brake that wore off abnormally. I ended having my truck repaired NOT by Toyota of Glendora, but I cannot continue to send my beloved 2015 Limited Tundra to get serviced by them and i felt compelled to let people know about the service that one hard working man got. They had ONE job, and it was to provide correct information, they failed. Take heed.
From the moment you are on the service drive, you are greeted promptly and assisted by the Adviser. Waiting room is comfortable and amenities are available if that is your option to wait. Shuttle drivers are very courteous and will pick-up you on time. Thanks Service Team and especially Rick Rodriguez.
