My most recent visit was my second, and it was much better than the first. This time, I had the fish tacos. They were loaded with fish and the spicy sauce was delicious. The fried bananas and pudding on the side was a nice surprise that paired well with the flavor of the tacos. I’ll definitely consider ordering the fish tacos again. We also had a side of the coconut fried shrimp, which were fantastic!

On my first visit a number of months ago, I had the baby back ribs. They weren’t my favorite ribs, but that may just come down to personal preference. The ribs here are of the “fall off the bone” type, and to me this type tastes overdone. The flavor of the meat got lost, so the primary flavor was that off the BBQ sauce.

This is mine and my husband's favorite restaurant! Everything we try is amazing and the pina colada cake is drool worthy. The staff is always so friendly and on point as well! We love it!!!

Amazing coconut shrimp and friendly service! Also a really fun atmosphere. My wife and I come visit in February and have made this a "must stop" the past 2 years.

    Not recommended

Decided to take my daughter out for a nice dinner. We had reservations for 6p and arrived a few minutes early. After being shown our table, we proceeded to wait 25 minutes without any acknowledgement from any of the servers. There were plenty in the area - just none that decided to come to our table. ;)

I then went up to the host stand to see if they could direct one of the servers to our table. Instead, one of the female managers came by to take our drink and appetizer order. By this point, my daughter and I had to log into our phones to check-in for our Southwest flight which was scheduled to depart the next evening (those who are familiar with the Southwest Airlines check in process understand the need for timely check in).

As a result of the restaurant’s original delay, we had no choice but to check in while our drinks and appetizers were being delivered. Much to my dissatisfaction, the manager proceeded to then make a snarky comment on how we should move our phones to make room for the food “as our phones are ‘clearly’ very important to us”. IMO, this comment was uncalled for given she had no idea why we were on our phones and after the lack of any service for almost 30 minutes, they had no right or need to pass judgement.

For a relatively pricey restaurant that, on the service, takes pride in providing what should be a positive dining experience, they did everything but. Do yourself a favor and pick a different restaurant at Kierland. There are plenty of other great options to choose from.

Very attentive service staff and management! Cocktails were fabulous, as well as beautiful, and happy hour appetizers were as tantalizing as they were beautifully presented! Nice job Tommy Bahama, and thank you!

I'm not from Phoenix originally but I live here now, and I have to say, this is one of the best places to eat in Phoenix. Most Phoenix food is very bland and everyone says every place "tastes good". Far from it.

Great food, great environment, great scenery, great service.
    Wish ya the best Tommy!!!

I'm always surprised by how few people realize there is a good restaurant instead Tommy Bahama's. The food and drinks are great here, especially if you like seafood, and they're not lying when they say they've got the best coconut shrimp!

One of my favorite restaurants. Love to go with friends and try different menu items each time. Simply looking at the dessert tray presentation is satisfying. They also have GREAT cocktails.

DONNY THE server was outstanding. The Pokewas great. The Kobe Hot Dog was over cooked and not that good. RIBS were good. Good wine list

Love this place, great food and the steel drums make for fantastic atmosphere. I only wish the remodeled patio had more of a tropical feel.

Food was wonderful with a variety of yummy drink for those over and under 21. The atmosphere is comfortable open and airy allowing for casual or elegant wear. Our waiter who was very friendly and helpful was always there for anything we needed yet wasn't a pest. The price range isn't to high around $30 per person and a wonderful dinner I've repeated many times.

Food was good but the place was packed, service was slow, and the live music was terrible/loud. Because most of that wasn't much of the restaurant's fault it gets 4 stars for good (albeit pricey) food.

I very much hoped that Monarch would meet my expectations. But I thought that it went above and beyond. The service was excellent, very kind, and attentive service. And, the most important, the food. The perfect size portions make dinner more enjoyable, because you do not feel like you are ill after having a mere 2 courses.
