A young teenage girl was asked to set in the control seat as the host walked through launch procedures. On launch she said now what. The host said we wait for the explosion if they try to take out any remaining missles, but by that time your launch will probably have killed several million people . It got very quiet and you could tears in her eyes. The host said yes we were that stupid. POWERFUL STUFF.

This atypical museum (and sobering monument) shows and tells Cold War history in a most memorable way! The facility appears complete, as if a crew just stepped out. The gift store educational and fun stuff alike. The restrooms, next to the store, are comfortable. The staff is upbeat and knowledgeable. We are very happy we detoured to visit.

Excellent museum and staff in a truly one of a kind type of museum. If you truly want to experience what our Air Force Missle Crews endured, then ask about the Titan Overnight Experience. I highly recommend it!

If you do nothing else in Tucson go to this museum! This was one of the neatest tours I have ever taken. Informative and fascinating, this museum gives real insight into the cold war and some of the technology and effort‘s America implemented to protect the citizens against enemies. It will require a fair amount of walking and The elevator is currently not working, so you better be prepared to walk up and down at least 50 or 60 steps. The tour guides are informative and fascinating to listen to - the tour takes approximately one hour and it doesn’t seem like enough time! I highly recommend going. Five stars!

Fascinating! This museum is a great way to spend an afternoon in the Tucson area. The underground bunker that housed the command center and missile are amazing to see. To think that a crew was stationed here from the early 60s through 1982 - waiting for the call to launch- it’s just wild!

Great tour, knowledgeable staff, scary artifacts of the cold war. A launch simulation caused another guest to a stressful look. When I asked if he was ok, he said he had been a launch office in the USA. This brought old memories of the cold war back. Moving visit!

This is a must see if only to understand how the US was defending us during the cold war. Yes when you look at the implications of thermo nuclear war it isn't pretty. But you need to be aware of the thought process at the time. Our guide was actually stationed at the facility. Great tour.

Very well worth the time! I could only take the basic tour, but you got to sit in the control room and actually turn the keys to start the launch sequence which was cool. If you enjoy Cold War history, I would highly recommend stopping by

This is the last Titan installation anywhere.

It is just exactly as it was when the program was halted, and they tore guides do a great job of explaining not only how the place operated, but why it was there in the first place.

The missile is not a prop, it's the real deal. Even though the technology seems old by today's standards, it's mission is one that fits today's world situation so well, the reminders are worth the sobering visit.

Took my family - ages 16,13,9,7- here and they all really enjoyed themselves. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and it is fun to see and touch a great piece of history. This tour would be difficult to do with small children.

The Titan Missile Museum is one of the most awesome places to visit in Tucson. They have several different types of tours including a one hour tour of the missile silo and command center. They also offer a six hour "top to bottom" tour that has to be arranged ahead of time. You get to see every inch of the facility. It's like stepping into the past as nothing has changed since it was decommissioned. This is the last Titan missile silo left!

So cool! The history in this place is amazing. Very real cold war relic that is well preserved and offers great family education on how it works. Take the detailed tours they are worth it over the standard tour. Really cool gift shop too with real relics for sale.

Interested in military history? The cold war? Rockets, missiles, the U.S. nuclear program? This is the place for you! The Titan Missile Museum is a treat. It is the only facility where you can get an in depth look of the only decommissioned and still intact nuclear missile. They offer a range of tours and each is well worth the fair price they charge for it. All the guides either have hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of experience. If you're truly lucky, there are retired military personnel who actually helped run the facility when it was operational during the cold war who also lead tours. It was informative, fun and would definitely do it again!

I started getting interested in the Titan II missile sites when I discovered the book "Command and Control" and realized I lived near the missile sites in Arkansas. Unfortunately all the AR sites were disabled and covered with dirt, leaving very little evidence of their existence. I was excited to see this museum available when we were visiting Tucson. As far as I know, it's the only Titan II site that wasn't destroyed. The normal tour shows a video about the site and then takes visitors down to the command center. An elevator is available for those who can't take the steps. We found the tour very informative, and if we lived closer we'd find a way to come without the kids and do the long (5-hour) walk-through tour. It's an interesting piece of history; I'd highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.
